world pvp commentary

Hello everyone! as you may have guessed i am back! and i had an idea while i was away.

i'l keep it simply, i was wondering if the server would have much interest in an after battle summary and analysis post for after world-pvp events.

for example, after a major server battle i would using maps and an ingame above view of the battlefield (with images and markers edited in) make a thread regarding tactics, events, and the flow of battles. analysing different moves, strategy's and step by step guides through how it went, things such as pre battle planning, troop positioning, movements, and the aftermath as well as IC consequences would be posted up, moulding both IC and ooc.

i hope mainly to improve W-pvp understanding and experience by such an initiative if possible, to help various commanders learn strategy and perhaps equalise the level of experience between factions and guilds.

all comments and thoughts welcome!

A person suffering from dyslexia struggles with reading and spelling. His spelling, whilst not perfect, is far from noteworthy.

His grammar however, is a different story. But who the fuck cares?

That said...I think this whole thread is a waste of time. WPvP in wow is so simplistic that any form of OOC debrief/commentary is unnessecary.

I admire your committment to WPvP, but the best way to promote it right now would be to convince The Lordaeron Alliance (maybe with the rest of the Alliance in aid) to scrap with CoS (Plus Horde) over Fenris Isle so Gen can stop having shouting matches with them in the streets.

Some have been doing a post-event analysis of the Barrens Campaign. Was funny as the main organizer didn't care the slightest about it and it was done at the expense of something a bit more important.

The world needs more PvP

While as I don't think there's need for that much tactical commentary since it is as mentioned a rather simple game. However, maybe it would be nice to have someone that writes up what happened during the events, who did what and why certain issues came to be. Simply to learn from our mistakes and become better at WPvP in the future. Because let's be honest, it is very rare to see a WPvP event without drama for different reasons. Maybe this is a way to work around that.

If nobody minds then, i could throw one such post up as a tester, using a past battle, would be easy enough!

I personally don't mind, as long as of course everything is brought up. Every wronging both sides did (in a none hostile manner) and what could of been done to make it better. I'd see it a bit like a mentor that has contact with both sides and have the true facts of both sides, including the bad stuff such as "rule" breaking, if there are rules.

Either way, what I'm trying to say simply is that this could perhaps help building a bridge over the drama we tend to see during WPvP events, especially the ones on larger scales.

This looks like the kinda shit we need to get the UN into! Im sure Ban Ki Moon is busy so someone get Kofi to roll on defias!

Erm.. Can have that one over Stromgarde, when you came as the only Orc- many things were going on in there, both good and bad. There are of course many other battles- but this one was quite equal on numbers and power of each side and depended mostly on tactics and moral (imho).

There isn't really a "need" for role-play, PvE, or PvP either. I know I would be interested in listening to something like this, if only for the entertainment value. (Also, for somebody who's in what's supposed to be a military regiment, I don't know jack squat about military tactics, so this might prove to be a little bit enlightening heh! :p)
