Community of Magic

Good eve,

Many of you may be aware of the Community of Light which brings together all forms of Light-worship under the Alliance together every two weeks to discuss doctrine and changes in how the light is treated. These are wonderful meetings which bring together everyone for A) Rp, B) to discuss future rp and C) to actually discuss proper lore and any changes that should be brought to it.

What i've noticed about this server is there has -never- been the ability to bring together all magical people into one guild or society without it breaking apart almost instantly. However I thought that we could emulate Fortesgue's intution and create our own 'community'. This would involve anyone who wishes be they magical users, people who have command over magic or just curious citizens who wish to ask questions. This would give all magic users the chance to gather and discuss the major magical changes and debate how different races and organizations handle it.

While writing this I know many will be for this and perhaps many against it so if you could i'd love to hear all opinions on it. I thought we could take the Light communities ruleset and start with what they did by having the first meeting Hosted by the Minister of Magic Vezullia (giving us an IC establishment) and then switching hosts every three meetings. -All- races of the Alliance now wield magic and I would welcome all of them! Especially Dwarves and Night Elves.

So far in my head I can think of many groups that could take part in this for example the Three Hammers, THe Technocratic Republic, Exaythe's latest idea, The Chapter of the Holy A, Kingdom of Strom etc etc. So many -could- take part which means that these meetings could bring together a lot of people!

Either way i'm rambling, if I get enough positive feedback i'll set up the first meeting and we'll get a list of discussion tops drawn up!

Read my mind. I was thinking of slotting in a week after the community as they are every two weeks so we'd simply be the week between their meetings.

Myeah... but the difference with faith is a step too far for JP and my other chars are even further away from anything that can't explained by beating stuff with a wooden stick. We'll see.

I couldn't promise to be a regular attendee or anything, but I do have a charming (ehehe) character attached to the arcane who'd no doubt be interested in knowing what was going on at such meetings. So I very much support the idea, despite not being able to promise to be at meetings!
