Nah they would be much more oppressive and very heavy involved with the Government. I Think that SI:7 is more like the CIA and this Silvermoon inquisition more the KGB.
Plus the SI:7 is more involved in external affairs, this organization wouldn't be.

Maybe my analogy wasn't the best way to explain it, but i hope you get the gist of what I mean

However, it's well known from the talks that Silvermoon is pretty much "BE HAPPY OR ELSE" totalitarianism, oppressive security. So.. think along the lines of a Corporate Military Police if you want a real world analogy..

I'd say more along the line of "don't object to how we do things, or else!" if Lor'themar's motivations in the leader short story about him is anything to go about. Granted, the distinction might get blurred on the way down through the hierarchy.

Now accepting written applications for the advertised positions!

If you do not feel you wish to apply for on of the advertised, you can apply for a position you yourself have created (like minister of education or whatever), but make sure explain in detail why your created position would be of use to the council, and how much RP can be expected to come from it. Please note, however, that these created positions will have to be pretty exceptional and somewhat lore-based to be in with a chance of being actually created.

So, send me a pm on here with your application, and then we can begin to sort this out.

I would like to add that would be nice to see those applications in here. So that we all know how many players are actually interested in this council. I myself am not going to apply but am planning to be very active with ideas for the new councillors to solve. And if someone know a character that is interested in being a councilor but for some reason is not yet member in these forums then you could a) make him/her register b) paste his/hers application here.
After we know who are interested in the postitons we can then call another OOC chat group to discuss/vote about the members who are going to be selected.

Shame I don't like playing characters in a special position of power and importance (will not apply therefore). Nevertheless I'm supporting Sylvina's idea. I'd like to see who all is in fact interested in the council since It's existence will be surely affecting us:]

I have to agree with Sylvina, it may be wise to have the applications here for others to see so that people have an understanding of the person applying. Ones application may contain information that can be taken in a variety of ways. It leaves room for people to queery which may in turn give headway into how a person may react to a similar confrontation within the Council itself.

And while on the topic of the application, you will not doubt want name occupation and position the applicant is wishing to fill. But would you be looking more at their goals and wants within the council ontop of character traits that may be beneficial or a potential issue? You mentioned both Bloodknights and Farstriders for instance, Lore wise they are not the best of friends.

Would a characters history be something your are willing to know about to give an idea of their knowledge based within various races/zones/faction standings?

It might be an idea to give some form of template for applicants to make sure it is down to the detail to ensure the best candidacy.

Hope to see lots of applications there. Remember that if you nor any of your guildmates did not apply for the council, then you should not be upset if your guild is not represented in the council. Everyone is given equal and fair chance to apply and to be chosen. Please let all your guildies know about this too.

I personaly doubt, that any more applicants will apppear, so indeed It seems the time has come. Or anybody knows about somebody interested and not expressing him-her-self, yet?

It'd nice to have more people interest but on the other hand the idea of the council has to be ushed forward if It should keep the proper spirit:-]
