The start of the Elwynn RP hub!

Elwynn Roleplaying Hub!


Firstly thanks to everyone who in the “RPhub” channel for helping create and brainstorm ideas. The goal is to create a new RP hub, following the idea of Duskwood which was a very successful project, bar for some griefers. Many criticise that Defias Brotherhood is lacking “Random” roleplay, and our roleplay is often limited to guilds and specific events. We want to change this by turning Elwynn into a new “RP hub”, a center for plots and storylines, a place where guilds can set up their “base” etc. Most importantly, it could become a place where you can just turn up and find roleplay, without the hassle of OOCers or PvP griefing.

It is a challenge, and perhaps impossible task, to find a suitable location that suits everyone's personal preference. The channel hopes to find in Elwynn a location that could suit as many people as possible:
- it has plenty of variety in its locations and settlements, lending themselves to different types of roleplay
- it is a “safe zone”
- it is accessible to low level characters
- it has different and fast connections with Stormwind, and through that it offers a good connection with the other capitals
- we even hoped the trees would make Elves feel more welcome.
Many guilds are already in on the idea. This post is to expand the “invitation” to the whole server and the people we’ve missed.


To kick start the new location, we have prepared a small event. One to make money, one to steal money!

Phase 1: Bribes and Payments



Lord Tarvik Dieudonne tries to buy land in Elwynn. He needs the support and permission of people in power of the Kingdom. To this purpose, he's been getting in touch with various organisations (If you haven’t been contacted and want in, just say!). To buy or bribe the interested parties, Tarvik will be sending them many gifts, payments, valuable wares.. perhaps even services.
We hope to involve the nobles, political figures and authorities in the hub.

Phase 2



All these goodies will, of course, have to be transported across the land, and even the very land he tries to buy: Elwynn. These will we transported in small caravans laden with all these valuables and perhaps valuable escorts. They shall need protection... For they present a great opportunity for every villain in the land. We hope to bring the thief and guard guilds to Elwynn in this manner.


Hopefully plots will stem from these and once we’re “there” hopefully we’ll all stay.

By a coincidence the Crew of the Lady Proudmoore will be in westfall Garrison for a few days as of monday, so If we can get involved that be awesome! If you need guards I would offer, It seems more of a job for Mercs tho.

I noticed her, but I'm more wondering what the hell the dude to her right is supposed to be doing.

Baron Mistmantle owns a tower there were he does his research, me and my (very few) guildies will likely be around from time to time.

Haha I'm liking what I'm hearing.

Don't worry about it fitting in with my lot; I just want to create a hub - a place for as much random and organised RP to happen as possible.

Had great fun in the event guys, really glad to see stuff happening in Elwynn. Lets keep it up!
