I saw a documentary yesterday, where 3 tribesmen, barely clothed and armed with little more than a crappy bow and a javelin, marched calmly to a pack of 15 lions that were devouring their prey.
The lions fled, abandoning their prey, and observed the 3 men, not knowing whether to attack them or letting them go at the prey. The 3 men cut of a big chunk of the prey and walked off with it, calmly.

The trick was to show so much confidence that the lions wouldn't realize it was a bluff. One bad move, one drop of sweat, and those lions would have eaten them.

God damn, those dudes were balsy.

That's how humans have hunded since foreever before we got ranged weapons.
We're the thing on the planet that has the best cardio. No other animal can keep running like a human. Most of them can run far faster, but a human with the physic for it can basicly run all day as long as the water lasts.
