Don't hold your breaths for this. Flying was possible in the belf zones back in the Cataclysm alpha as well for a while simply because they messed up the flag that determines if a zone is flyable in. Quite possible that the same thing happened again. Wait for signs of them stitching the zones into the Eastern Kingdom server at the very least.
