I'm planning to return to the game. According to Blizzard I'm eligible for a scroll of resurrection. (http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/services/scroll-of-resurrection/). This means that I can get a free ding to 80, you can get a spectral gryphon or wyvern. Give me a PM if you're interested!
