Shining Strand arrives in Tyr's Hand

Diplomatic dispatch from Light's Hope Chapel.

The 12th of February.

In the late evening, the Shining Strand caravan arrived to Tyr's hand and began unloading their supplies. After having been on the road for over a month since they left Menethil harbour they now arrived. Reports suggest that the Shining Strand intend to use the citadel and the closely located settlement New Avalon as their home in their attempt to reclaim their homeland.

There, we have arrived at Tyr's Hand after a month long caravan plot. TSS intends to stay and use it as our base. We make no attempts to claim it as our own, currently we're even sharing the settlement with the Crimson Flame. We very much welcome more company, permanent or visitors, though. However mind that one needs to do the "The brotherhood of Light" questline from Leonid Bartholomew at Light's Hope Chapel to get into the same phase as we are.

Intriguing. problematic for us forsaken, the place is filled with argent guards...

Oh, We're happy to make arrangements with forsaken for pvp outside of Tyr's Hand, no worries.

So, ehm, isn't Tyr's under the control of the Argent Crusade.. If yes, do they know of the intentions of the Shining Strand? If yes again, why would they knowingly ruin their relations with Sylvanas? Doesn't make sense.

This is something we have debated quite a lot. Yes, technically it is under the control of the Argent Crusade. But they do not have a significant presence there, no officers or anything. So they can't directly check up on us.

Furthermore. Yes, technically we are under Tirion's peace there, but we're also outside effective striking range against forsaken targets. So all our offensive operations won't actually be conducted from Tyr's Hand but remotely. Tirion might forbid us from actually openly attacking the forsaken from Tyr's Hand... but he cannot forbid us from sending people out of Tyr's Hand on missions. That it some happen that similarily sized groups attack the forsaken a few days later is... "coincidences".

Thirdly, we figured the crusade would encourage settlers. So they wouldn't actually refuse a whole bunch of suicidal maniacs coming volountarily.

Basically... We're lying to the crusade. Straddling the fence as it is. We'll be playing it a bit cloak and daggers and the fact that we are actually disobeying the crusade is a plot element of ours. One thing is that we'll avoid to fly our colours too openly on operations, try to have some deniability.

Also, we would have taken another base if there was one. But Andorhal fell. Hearthglen is even worse (seeing it's right under Tirion's nose). Chillwind is a surrounded graveyard with a flightpath. All of hillsbrad is forsaken controlled. Tyr's hand is also one of the richest areas in terms of Light buildings (containing 2 chapels, a abbey and a cathedral) and it'd be a real shame not to use it.

So, does that mean the crimsons have globe trotted again and left fenris isle keep empty? if yes, when or if they try to return, theyl have to fight for it for once.

The way I understood it is that they have a EPL branch that stay there with us and another branch based on Fenris isle.

Since it is an argent crusade town however, does this mean you as settlers have any power to stop Forsaken travelers passing into tyres hand?

They have a lordaeron army regiment which is under the control of Lucicroz or something who is a heir to the lordaeron throne ( or something along those lines)

Technically no. That does not mean it is safe to try. Only that we have to slap the perpetrator on the wrists if it happens. That's no saying you will be killed however... but it's probably best to stay in open view and loudly announce that the Argent Crusade knows you're there (and not stay long enough for us to check that up if it is not true).

... and stay as far away as you can from our armouries, wells or granaries. Go too close to them and we'll accuse you of trying to plague us/sabotage.

Oh... and we are in no way responsible for what the crimson flame does. Just you know... a warning.

Ahhh no worries, the crimsons are more than likely also fighting orcs in stonetalon at the same time that we forsaken attempt to mess with your granaries!

And Sulthar! They cant be the heir to the throne of Lordaeron, for i am!

Actually did you know their pyromancer has IC portalling abilities?

Not to derail the thread much further, but if a member of the crimson flame calls himself a heir to the throne IC... so what? Let him. Better yet, use it and call him pretender. Openly mock his claim IC. Dress up scarecrows in his likelyhood, put a crown on it and put it on fire.
Pretenders happened all the time, both ones that had and did not have claims.
Use it as ammunition Ic instead of mocking the guild ooc. I mean after all... who said that all we say IC have to be true?

Even if he was the legitimate heir you would not need to recognice it in fact. It happened all the time that nobles rebelled against undisputed trueborn sons of kings when they took the throne and claiming that they were the true heirs. Sometimes they even got support despite that everyone knew their claim was bogus.

I won't recognice his claim, but I will react to it if presented to me.

I'm inclined to say that it doesn't really matter if he claims it ooc or just IC. You are under no obligation to recognice his claim either way. If the claim is true or not need not have any bearing on wether you believe/accept it.
