Tbh, in most cases, I would be more worried about the guys with actual swords than those with toy weaponry.

dont worry, its normal for the smith to imprint "can be used for sword eating tricks" on the side.

tends to get rid of the incompetent.

Sadly I couldn't be there saturday eve due to RL, but Sunday \o/

PS: As to the guards. Personally I RP that guards are ALWAYS there in sensitive areas. But all 'patrolling' guards have to be players. So If I get into a fight on Cath Square, or near CC, or infront of the keey - NPCs will pwn me. But if I am doing stuff in the cemetary, it will take a PC guard! (even if NPCs actually DO patrol there in-game wise)
