Seconded. Somehow, no one answers calls to the guard in there right now. The criminals are using the opportunity sadly.

The Shields are the only player guards, just cause they leave doesn't mean Stormwind is guardless.

I wouldn't say that we RP as if there are no guards. We still work as we've always done. For example when we're going to rob a civilian we still try to fool him or her to go to some place where people (and guads) rarely go. I wont speak for all of us though, as there are quite a lot of people out there.

I remember the chapter having to defend itself, in the early eve, in the cathedral last night. From someone who's posed an obvious threat to anyone inside. Looks like npc guards were fairly well ignored. It is very sad, though.

There's been a lot of gunshots and brawls in the square too x.x

Stormwind and the Cathedral square in particular are retarded, regardless of the presence of guards or law enforcing agents. Best bet is to ignore the lollers or as Jinoti suggested:
