Refugees at the Garrison

Julia quickly packed her things in the office. The city guard were already yelling for everyone to evacuate the city. In the chaos and stress of it all, she forgot some papers, but had no choice but to leave it be. "At least I got the important things" she thought to herself. She tucked the folders under her arm, and in the right hand she held a bundle of freshly written papers, which once she got outside, began spreading on the streets; not even bothering to put them up on the walls. She kept doing so while running towards the Stormwind gates, where she quickly handed out some of the papers to the citizens still trying to get inside city walls. Outside the gates, her horse and a guard was awaiting her. The same guard whom had been escorting her through the city during these troubled times. While still dropping a few papers on the road of Elwynn, the guard led her horse in a quick manner, towards the Westbrook Garrison..

Azaria pulled the goggles off of her face and tilted them, water running out from them. She frowned and mumbled to herself, "Damn elementals, now I have to get new ones!". As she followed the water dripping to the street with her eyes, she noticed a piece of paper peeking out from under her boot. With an annoyed grunt she leaned down to discard of it, to get it off of her boots. But then she noticed the thick black text on the paper. She arched her brows and read it.

"Citizens of Stormwind. We are being evacuated out of the city. We can't stay, the city has become dangerous and unpredictable. You who read this. Seek out family and friends in Elwynn. Stay with them, and barricade yourself in your homes and farms. If you who read this have no such luxery, I, Julia Angelos - Minister of the Stormwind Council, have delivered food to Westbrook Garrison. Light knows it is not a lot, but I've used the money you citizens have paid to buy my newspaper. In this, our darkest hour, we need to help each other. I ask you, with no family or friends in Elwynn to reside at, to come to the Garrison for shelter, some food, and company. A handful of guards also resides here, helping us to guard the place. Make haste citizen."

Azaria smiled somewhat, and then threw the paper away. "At least people are helping each others during times like these.." she muttered to herself.

OOC: This is not really a event with a set date. This is more to try and gather some random RP, for those that wish to RP out all that is happening now before Cataclysm. I will try and be at the Garrison myself as often as I can, and hopefully some more people will be. And not only citizens can come and roleplay. More guards would be grand for example (the NPCs are very silent!), a priest to calm the masses, or medic to help the wounded. If anyone wish to move their events to the Garrison, due to the city being evacuated that works nicely too. I will personally be at the Garrison on Julia from now on, save if any meeting gets called where the Council need to attend. Let's get some nice, pre-cataclysm RP going, shall we?

OOC: Wonderful initiative, Julia - I was trying to think where people would go ICly what with the evacuating, and Westbrook is a decent choice! We'll talk and I can bring Rohwyn out there to aid on the medical side of things. I agree - let's make the most of the time we have before Cataclysm!

OOC: I did have the garrison in mind all along. It is a great place for RP I think. And since it is a guard fortress, it would make sense that refugees head there for protection (whether or not the guards would truly be able to protect them all, should the elementals attack is another question). ^^

OOC: Actually this was the kind of initiative I was looking to start before with the westbrook refugee camp event. Good to see that it's been used by others aswell Smile

OOC: Yeah, only right now I personally think it make more sense, what with the elementals and all, and the guards actually, visiually in game evacuating people. Not that your event was wrong, not at all =) I just feel that from this point on, it makes a lot of sense, which is why I'll try to keep at it until Cataclysm.

OOC: Yes, tough starting it up earlier was a move to have the place ready once the serious stuff hit and well give refugee to people outside Stormwind because of the earthquakes mainly. Anyhow still good to see it being extended to this. Perhaps part of why the location was chosen ICly was because of the existing camp (but that's merely me speculating)

A hooded rider on a black stallion followed by two more horsemen clad in plate rides trough the flooded streets of Stormwind heading for the city gates. As they ride past a small piece of paper on the city wall the hooded figure halts his company. A moment of silence passes then the rider mumbles two words
Insolent fool.
The hooded rider turns to address the other two
I think we'll make a quick stop by the Westbrook refugee camp before we head for our final destination.
