Moving it over would likely cost money, depending on hosting. The only admin that actually had any real web publishing experience was Taz, the founder, and he's long gone. Rasonal and myself are mostly just general article upkeep.

Defias Wiki colors have been restored. Working on fixing our menus now.

Also, dropping the featured articles from the main page. No one nominates/votes for new ones and neither of the admins have the inclination or time to go through the many articles to find ones to feature (unless you would like to do that, Rasonal, and to keep them updated every month or two). Plus, the way Taz built them creates this ugly gap between the right and left columns which I have not for the life of me found a way to fix.

Tried to fix the gap myself, and failed. I did try to update them every month or so, I even added featured Guild thingy, but not sure if I can keep on forever . If you keep them up, I will try to update them. If not, just fine aswell. Thanks for bringing it back from being disgusting to Normal!

I think I'll leave it to one featured article, Rasonal, rather than 4. That featured article can be anything, from character to guild to anything else. If you'd like to come up with a list of good ones every two months or so (PM me here), I can look through them and decide which to put up.

Menus have now been updated. Included is a link back to these forums in the Community menu.

Also added a new logo (though that might change, we'll see), new categories (Overall Races category, as well as a Worgen category (there was already a Goblin one)).

Last thing I'm going to try and do is get rid of the ugly big buttons and pencil icons, but I have no idea where to go to do that so, no guarantees.

Bah ! This wiki give me headache ! It seem I can't be able to make anything properly.

Learning Wikicode does take some time, Elloa, so don't feel too disheartened. I can help you with anything you have trouble with if you'd like.

Is the code used and layout pretty much the same and do we have to re-register for a new account?

Do we also have to make new pages copying from the origional wiki or have they been changed over?

Your account, the code, and your page remains the same as it used to be. All that changed was the overall site layout, not the content.

I hate to stir up shit like this needlessly but is there interest in this community to move to a (paid) proper server/host?

I might have some space available and all I need is more suitable a domain for it. However, it might add some work to get everything transferred. Not to mention you'll have to put up with me

The pro's would be an add free wiki (and/or forum) with a little bit more options and custom coding if we want it.

As much as I "share" this in a way (I don't see ads either), it doesn't change the fact that they screwed over all templates and stylesheets in the largest (I think?) wiki, fo' mo' moniez. And Adblock doesn't prevent your page from appearing like a guest star in "Honey, I shrunk the kids".

Either way, makes me wonder, how will they make more money when their largest (?) wiki leaves because of it? ;o The target audience is way smaller now, making the ad less effective..

Sorry, didn't see this post till now.

Main problems with this that I can see is that neither of the admins are actual web-techs. We manage the wiki and can handle wiki-coding, but I don't believe either of us would be capable of transferring the wiki. I personally am also unable to fund any cash for a paid server (I can barely keep my WoW account going as it is).

Now, if you yourself would be willing and capable of becoming an admin and handling the actual work behind the transfer, then that would be great.
