The Ebon Council

Right, since the amount of DK's is high even alt wise. I think I will call upon every single possible DK to attend say.. the 29th.
And some form of council for us Death Knights can be formed, with rules, "councillors", and guards. Make a nice and official re-occuring event for Death knights.
Any feedback always welcome.

Hokay. While I'm happy to see some more DK RP around and am a part of your guild with mine, ideas and events is already great.

But, I've kinda got to wonder what the point of this council would be.

Well, the answer is easy.
ALOT , and I mean ALOT of DK RPer's are generally in PVP/PVE guilds, and there are always quite a few on /LFDK who sometimes come along with BotH events. So the idea of this council would be for inter-faction DK's, mainly BotH to attend. ^^

That doesn't answer my question though. Sure, you've got a basis for it, great.

But what would it do? 'cause it sounds like an undead tea party right now.

Hehe, we would decide for every DK that swears to uphold the rules of this Council. We would pass laws and make decisions on behalf of ALL Death Knights. Invite other councils/senates/courts/circles to speak to us. Act as an independent political structure from the Brotherhood really.

Surely though, Death Knights are NOT a democracy and are a totalitarian military unit under Mograine's boot?

Now that the Lich King is dead, I could imagine Death Knights would gather together to find some new purpose in undeath to occupy themselves with. The fact that they are barely tolerated by the living would both be the motivation for them to band together (they have no one else to turn to) and probably also create tension (Death Knights not answering directly to Mograine's will? Too dangerous, burn them all!). Given that they were all raised specifically to be a force of destruction, I would think that whatever purpose they do agree on would involve violently eradicating something from the face of the world (whether it be for good or evil, or somewhere inbetween).

Either way, if this is done, I think the most important theme to play up is that of the Death Knights now having served their purpose in the eyes of a world that would rather see them disappear entirely now (and might even try to make them disappear. Moral question of the day; Is it unethical to round up undead knights of destruction and herd them into furnaces?).

definatly an itresting theroy,..I have read somwhere (thow i cannot remember where as it was late at the time) that now arthus has gone Us dk's logical step would probably lead us to continue slaughtering what remains of the scourge and to keep them in check to stop them ever becoming a treat again,.. sort of prizon guards like thing

You really aren't. Tirion only recommended the Ebon Blade to the Horde/Alliance because of Darion's control. If Tirion starts to see Death Knights starting little councils or fighting in capitals he's gonna start to consider the Ebon Blade a threat and all Death Knights not under their banner scourge.

true darion is not a threat but he was (from what i have read) is not as strong as arthus was thus he cannot possably keep full controle of the scourge at least not yet,.. but this is still all theory thow,.. we may know more once cata is released

I forgot to add, within reason. I'm sure it sounds bad, but I am also sure people are ready to vouch that we are mediocre RPer's and are good fun.

While one cannot simply leave deals. Azeroth is a large.. large place. Death Knights gathering secretly under Darion's nose is... possible. However going public about it, That's quite insane as it is.

I can however approve of shady deals and works. Darion can't control everyone. However.. getting caught would likely mean death penalty.

I agree with this, it seems a pretty forced situation given the existing lore.

Just seems like you're throwing something random together for the sake of it. Can't really see how something like this benefits DK's or anyone else. Just.. buh. Brainspasm.

I feel you may be seeking a new project because you are bored with your current one and are kinda grabbing at straws. Maybe you need to wait a while and think of a plausible, well thought out concept or guild and stick to it.

Good luck with the Ebon Council if you polish down the concept and make some good ground rulles, otherwise the statement about disregarding the lore just made you divide by zero, enjoy your paradox. -runs to bunker-

People are being somewhat unkind to this guy, I reckon. I mean, surely there's a little wiggle-room for DK-formed think tank style organisations (Like the Council, to be honest).

Not to offend anyone, but the guy's just trying to make RP. No need to lore-stomp him when there's a bit of space to manouevre this right.
