Arathor and Cataclysm.
It began with a little twist, about a character whom recently lost his life having a long lost daughter. And I personally received a lot of support for this, even if my character was, as the dead father, based on a lore name; Trollbane. Scandal and drama all over the place of course, but with all the support I got I found the strength and energy to stay steady on what I wanted to do. I made a lot of new, unexpected friends with this. I had my first cross-faction roleplay, I had my first real mother-daughter-son roleplay in a way I had never experienced it before. And I took it on me to lead a guild, even if I never was or am a good leader. At first it wasn't that big or important. In fact, at first it was more of a drama-seeking group in a way. But as we grew and decided to focus our roleplay in Arathi Highlands, I think we succeeded in giving the server roleplay outside the box of Stormwind back at that time. And it was great. Many people came accross us, either by joining or interacting with the guild. And we all generally had an amazing time, even if we realized some people did not like us at all. And even though I did not truly have a set goal when I first made my character, I think we made a big stamp on the server and its history, and I'm proud of that, and even more so proud of my amazing members and the people that made this possible.
But as it were, everything comes to an end. And after careful discussion it has been decided that it is time for KoA to take a break come Cataclysm. Whether it will be a break or disband will be for the future to tell. But for now the plots has been roleplayed, a Kingdom was revived, the server gave us a place in its heart, and rather then dying off as an inactive guild until ultimatly disbanding completely, it feels better to just end it when it is still somewhat respected. The Arathorian community will hopefully remain, this is what I hope our little guild has managed to create. A community built upon another sort of culture.
Why I, and we write this post now, is because we want from the dephts of our hearts, thank everyone. Everyone that has been involved, everyone that has supported us, everyone that has joined us in events, everyone that has acknowledged us as a true nation and even those that did not like us and insulted us, as even that made us all stronger. We hope that, one way or another we've managed to give even just a few people some fun in events and general roleplay.
This may come as a surprise to our current members also. And I take the blame for that. I have been very inactive for a while and put all the work and pressure upon Anaei's shoulders which has not been fair I admit. But come Cataclysm upholding this will be harder then it ever was before, and we'd rather see people enjoy their game-time and seek their own projects and interests. Until that day, everyone in KoA is welcome to stay if they wish. And when Cataclysm hit, a big story will be launched as to what has happened to the Arathi Nation. What else, the forum here on the RP-forums will remain. Not just because of all the wonderful lore that has been created, but to give future people that wish to participate in that a chance to join, as the arathorian community as a whole, will hopefully survive one way or the other.
Lastly, I'd like to take this chance to give my personal thanks to a few special people that has in one way or the other, helped me in all this, and made my vision come true:
Tziak and Shrogan
Seiken
Vasgar
Anaei and Throran
Arador
Every person that is or has ever been in KoA
Thank you all, from the depths of my heart.

When I read the lore that had been created or expanded upon for Arathor, it was so rich, detailed and deep that I knew my next character was going to be an Arathorian warrior straight away. Though I didn't stay in the guild proper for very long, the Kingdom of Arathor shaped my character in everlasting ways, and took my RP in a direction it wouldn't have gone otherwise were it not for the work of you and the other officers.

KoA was actually the reason I joined this server about a year ago, so it's kinda sad to see it end although I do hope we will still have some roleplay in Arathi!
I thank you purely for existing and bringing such wonderful roleplay!

It's a darn good shame that it would end like this. But in the very end, we all had -very- fun. So, thank you Saihna for creating the guild and all you others who made it even greater by being awesome. So I guess all I have left to say is: Thank you all for the great times we've had together and I hope that we meet again!

My opinion of KoA has really gone up and down since it was created, but you never failed to provide decent events and general RP, which is something I've always respected, even if certain things made me facepalm.
Still, sad to see it go. Cheers for all the events!

Thank you everyone for the kind words, I feel confidant in this decision and should a MAJOR interuption appear in the form of an Arathi Highlands revamp Arathor will no doubt return. For now however, we feel we've asked for everyone to play along too much, without real proof or evidence of rebuilding.

Instead of disbanding the guild because -you- cannot be arsed to lead it, Saihna. Why don't you give it over to someone who can? If not Anaei, I can think of a guy who's been working his ass off for this guild, way before we remade it and that's Arador. You should give the guy a chance, as disbanding a guild just like that is quite selfish (Duh, speaking against myself as I wanted the same with the Chapter, because I'm THAT retarded). But that's just my two cents.

Re: Arathor and Cataclysm.
Arador is very free to make an Arathorian regiment guild, I've even stated such in the Arathor sub-forum. But the Kingdom of Arathor would be disbanded anyway, since there is no possible way there can be a Kingdom come Cataclysm if Stromgarde ain't rebuilt, which well, at this moment doesn't seem likely. What I'm saying is, I won't be the one reforming the guild, since I want to move on with something that makes me happy and makes me have fun in game. Something which KoA ain't doing for me now, nor has been for a long long time.

It's a shame really. KoA was the first guild I joined on this character, and they created a foundation for who he is now. (not to say they turned him into a criminal! ) My stay was fairly short in comparison to most I'd say, but it remains a very significant part of my character's history and I thank you for putting up with Tirius! ^^

If Saihna disbands, Arador are free to re-create a guild with that name if he wishes.
As for the concept, Kingdom of Arathor, wheter it's doable or not, Saihna is not the boss over.
Question is if there really is someone can be arsed with it, Jehorius.

Re: Arathor and Cataclysm.
With all due respect, if you wish to lay into 'who has the right to what' do please bugger off and do it through Private Messages. This wasen't meant to be a middle finger to anyone, and I know Arador will no doubt keep alot of what we do alive. It is not Saihna who 'cannot be assed', the general consensus was that Arathor was going to down the road of some Regimental Stormwind Guild that would fade from what it was. I will support Arador at every turn, as will Saihna. And we have no intention of disbanding infact, the guild name will be set aside just incase that little spark of inspiration returns.
And Jehorius, don't be so god damn fucking rude before you actually get all the facts. Un-nescessary nastiness really grinds my gears.

Re: Arathor and Cataclysm.
There's no need to be, cause as I said, Arador is very free to make his regiment once the Kingdom is disbanded. All I meant was that I won't be the one recreating the regiment. I wanted to at first, and base it in Stormwind. But the pro's does not overdo the con's anymore for me, nor does it make me happy and nor do I have any fun for the time being. But as Anaei said, the guild itself will be saved, should a miracle occur that Blizzard decides to rebuild Stromgarde (unlikely) as a city. I'm just sick and tired of trying to uphold something that half the server does not even agree too.
