I'm glad the flaming and drama disappeared from this thread. The last few pages have actually been quite enjoyable. At any rate, I wish you a lot of fun on your event, etc.

If I can just add one thing personally. There is no need for -anyone- to bash anyone OOCly. The Shields act ICly, and the rest of the RP community should respond ICly, whether it be in favour or in opposition to the Shields.

Let IC hatreds and disagreements stay IC.

The part where everyone goes wrong is seeing prisoners as people! I see them as.. objects.. objects that need correctional re-construction untill they fit back into society. It's all I do, really. I'm a constructionman.

Ehh well they're the only game in town I don't fancy server jumping to guard RP so I best play nice.
May not like them IC or OCC but ehh I've got a taste for Guard RP and a pally that now needs a home

Nobody cares if they have to sit in jail for a short while! That's why I changed that!

Before I changed the way punishments worked, people would end up in jail for weeks and weeks and endless days. Now you're in there for 1-2 days, get alot of roleplay, but your character gets F'd for their crimes, wich is a good consequence. Without scary guards or consequences, criminal RP won't be challenging/fun either.

Rather sit in jail for a single day w/ RP and beatings, like it'd go in these times, then a week for some random crime, without any RP to go by.

Not everyone has loads of stuff to do when not RP'ing though

true but some of the stuff.Is a bit mad...and as someone said above it depends on the player but it goes bad most of the time

So let me tell you about our event last night! It was pretty damn awesome, to say it myself...
We marched in two ranks from Stormwind to Sentinel Hill where we issued a salute to our colleagues in the tower and changed to our Training gear.



Then, with our armour in our rucksacks we jogged all the way down to the Island Southeast of Booty Bay. Nice with some exercise!
No time to rest, though, I immedeately got people in work digging latrines, searching for fresh water, recognising the island for a good camp spot and gathering materials for our shelters. The mosquitos and other insects where all over us until we all got down to our underwear and smeared ourselves in mud. ....then it started to rain. We had several injuries, people falling off the mountain, getting bitten by snakes, attacked by mosquitos big as fists and rushed by a naughty ape. Two of our shelters were ruined, everyone was in a bad mood and we were soaked, tired and cold.

IC it was rather horrible and gave a whole new dimension to what you actually can RP! I have, for example, never before roleplayed doing toilet stuff in group. xD
Sadly horde was on one of THOSE moods and advertised in their trade channel for people to come and gank us. So around 1 AM sometime our event turned into a gankfest and ruined it. Thanks to everyone who came there and helped us get rid off them, I only wish it hadn't been necessary at all.

Tonight we are moving out again to an un-known location! More awesomeness!

If they come down again, call me! I'll sort em out!

Haha, everyone shitting in the latrines we dug was pretty awesome xD Or that guy crashing down from the hill into our huts, destroying them, then getting punished.

Also, we did /rolls who'd get bitten by a snake, attacked by a huge swarm of mousqitous and have their arm-broken by a wild ape. To add some danger to the jungle RP. Three poor people lost the rolls and got wounded xD
