SIx civilian lads and a girl who is now forever etched into my memory as 'slut' just got the dressing down of a fucking lifetime for making too much noise outside our accomodation. A fight was narrowly avoided by the arrival of the rest of my section who'd been staying with me before our VERY early start tomorrow morning. Together we enforced the message, "Shut the fuck up or the only way you'll drink again is through an inntravenous drip!". Anyone who's still out there and plans an even later drunken revelry sess better stand fast because we're going to tear them a new one in a fashion to rival Hostel. >.<

Decided I'd do the housework today before my mother returns from her banishment tomorrow. Did a quick survey.. My brothers are the most useless fucks in the world. It's going to take me the better part of the day to clean up after them. They've used EVERY SINGLE DISH WE OWN. And not washed any. The dirty clothes pile is overflowing in several large baskets. They've just... dropped stuff where they happen to be walking.

I work hard all day, and this is the mess I have to deal with for it. >.> It's now my goal in life to have them forcibly ejected from the house for being lazy bastards.

It disgusts me when people who do absolutely horrid things to other people - both mentally and physically - get away with it due to their connections, reputation, or just because aformentioned acts are comitted towards an individual who is relatively unknown or below the perpetrator in popularity.

This applies to both in-game and reality, still pisses me off though.

Well the only thing i actual thing that needs to be vented out is the lack of behavior sometimes.. Razz

As i'm far to stupid to understand why it is fun to "troll".
What is the point to pick a fight on internet and just make people angry and irritated? no clue... maybe they are to afraid to actual do that when a computer is not in the way.. Or is it they can be someone else? And act "cool"? And what is cool if it means hurting other people? Then i prefer to be a goofy nerd.. As i sure don't understand the fun.

Tried turning PC on, "Disk read error has occured, press ctrl alt del to restart".
Wouldn't even load a repair cd from boot, so I tried replacing the sata cable for the hard drive and it seems to hae worked, haven't lost anything, time to look into future hard drive plans.

I'm getting seriously annoyed with my university already and I haven't even begun studying there. Waiting to hear whether or not I have been accepted (which, I can pretty much assure you, I will be) is starting to get on my nerves as I need to get my hands on the books etc far earlier than other people. They're saying they will send a list to us about everything in mid August, that's all fine and dandy but I leave for France at the end of July and won't be back till the end of August with classes beginning on September 5th. Even getting the slightest bit of information requires cutting through a whole shitload of red tape, I fucking hate bureaucracy.

You're about to have 3 to 4 years of utter joy then! /sarcasm

There's a reason you might have to wait for some decisions on an application - things need checking, places can be limited etc etc.

But making anyone wait, after all the information is in (transcripts, references etc) more than a week before you make a decision, and they have an offer (or rejection) letter/email/call is just poo. Then again, I am amazing at my job, obviously. For me making someone wait even 48 hours seems a bit shitty if you've already made a decision they'll get an offer. It's not terribly hard to contact someone and say yay or nay. Even if... I have to write an actual letter. On paper and everything.

Universities tend to shove a lot of the decision making tasks on people completely incompetent at making any actual decisions - who don't understand or care very much, and create their own pointless red tape. The same people who swan off (on conference to Hawaii? yeah... right) for most of summer. They also employ those people as lecturers (when clearly most can't/don't want to teach).

Go figure.
