A bit of OOC information, if any of you guys are interested.
This is basically a regiment that Jehorius and Nianni Icly decided to make, after countless of news of battles between the Horde and the Alliance. It basically started when the Forsaken and Orcish(?) army marched into Westfall. So, what would their regiment be like? What wouldn't it be like? I'll start of with the little story about it, that exists.
Background Story: Jehorius Amaltheria (Formerly Regelius Renn, High Inquisitor of the Chapter of Holy Anethion) and Nianni Velaire Fence (A farmersgirl from Westfall, Militia of the People) met one day for unknown reasons. After getting to know each other, they both noticed the hate they both had developed over their lives towards the Horde. Days turned into weeks, and Jehorius had one day suggested that they both made a regiment together, which would oppose the Horde, fight it where it could be done. The young lass agreed to this but mentioned that It's not simply to make a regiment. Days passed and they eventually came up with the idea of naming the regiment 'Lions of Lothar'. Anduin Lothar, is probably the greatest Alliance hero there is. He devoted his life to fighting the orcish Horde and to help and free his people, and Kingdom from their grasp. Lothar was not only the greatest hero there is, but he was probably the most selfless man that ever lived. Thus the two made the regiment to honor Anduin Lothar, and every man and woman who died along side him, while fighting for a free Kingdom.
Ranks:
Commander - Supreme leader of the Lions!
Captain - The most trusted soldiers, handpicked by the Commander.
Sergeant - Handpicked by either the Commander, or a Captain. Is supposed to lead small parts of the regiment in battle.
Warden - A Warden is a soldier of the Lions which is specialized in melee combat.
Ranger - A Ranger is a soldier of the Lions which is specialized in ranged combat, be it with bow, crossbow or gun.
Sorcerer(ess) - These cunning soldiers wield magic of any sort. Be it shadow, fire, frost or arcane.
Disciple - Disciples are the healers of the Lions, these brave soldiers move in during battles and drag injured people away from the field.
Recruit - Freshly recruited Lion!'
Now you might think, this is one hell of a mix when it comes to the ranks. Doesn't look solid at all, but me and Velaire decided to handpick the ranks that we felt would fit, as It's only a regiment thus far - There's no need for all the fancy ranks that the Stormwind army use. But should we grow to that size, the Ranks will be re-organised.
The Five Pillars of the Lions of Lothar:
The Lions of Lothar (or some of them at least) follow certain pillars of how to act in war, how to respect fallen soldiers and the Horde, even though they are savages even the orcs have honor in battle. The first pillar is:
Honor:
Several pages describes The Pillars of the Lions of Lothar. The Pillar of Honor describes how you should fight with honor. Do not kill innocents and do not burn villages filled with helpless innocents, as they have done nothing wrong and that is the way of the Horde.
It also describes how certain warriors fight with honor, as a warrior without honor - Is no better than a coward, or in the worst of cases, than a murderer. A short story describes how a Knight combats an Orc. The Knight manages to disarm the orc, by accident - But instead of killing the orc mercilessly. He allows the orc to pick up his weapon again, and then carries on the fight. The Knight stands victorious, and gives the orc a proper burial for fighting with valiantly, and with honor.
Respect:
The Pillar of Respect describes how you should respect a fallen soldier, Horde and Alliance alike. As each warrior, is expected to fight with Honor, and if they do - Give them a proper burial, be it in fire, or in earth. The Pillar of Respect also teaches that you do not steal from a fallen soldier, as they are supposed to be buried with the weaponry they fought in, and with. It also teaches that you do not mutilate the corpse of a fallen soldier on purpose, as that would be one of the most dishonorable thing you can do. A defeated soldier is already defeated, let the dead rest in peace, not in pieces.
Courage:
The Pillar of Courage is indirectly a side-pillar to the Pillar of Honor. It describes how a warrior should fight, and not flee from battle. As a warrior is remembered for his or her deeds and reputation. A coward will always be recognized as such, as well as a brave, stalwart Knight will be remembered as such.
Strength:
The Pillar of Strength teaches that you should rely more on Strength and Skill, rather than cowardice, why toss sand into your foes eyes? When you can defeat him honestly in combat, with your raw strength and pure skills. A warrior who cheats, will be remembered as a cheater, and not a good swordsman.
Remembrance:
The fifth and last Pillar of the Lions, is the Pillar of Remembrance. It describes how you always should remember your fallen brothers and sisters in arms - But also your honorable enemies. Soldiers who fought with honor, and died in battle - Are worthy of remembrance, as showing courage, and fighting with honor is the little which is expected of a -TRUE- warrior.
These five pillars are not a must to follow, but a Lion of Lothar is expected to do such. As these five pillars are the five pillars which makes a man into a warrior. Not how good he cuts down his foes with a sword.
Who's allowed to join the Lions of Lothar?
Everyone, basically. Any race, as we're all children under the Alliance - Wether you're a gnome, elf or human. As for the classes, everyone there too - But death knights and warlocks have certain rules that they are to follow - Should they join the Lions.
Death Knights - May not raise any ghouls, or undeads what so ever. Not even with enemy corpses, the dead are supposed to stay dead. Do not disturb their rest.
Warlocks - May not summon, or take control of any demons what so ever. Unless It's to stop a rampaging Doomguard, or Infernal from charging into the Lions forces. Apart from this, the superiors will keep a close eye on any death knights or warlocks that join the Lions, as they're both somewhat unreliable.
So, what kind of guild is this that you two have made?
It's an RP-PvP guild which hopefully will reach numbers so that we'll actually be able to wage war against the Horde, attend to other world-pvp events and generally just try to revive the somewhat dead rp-world-pvp.
Are there any requirements?
Well, I would say a good start is to have a mount so level 20+ would be appreciated. But It's not a must, as long as you -level- and don't join on a low level alt that you log every now and then to sit around the Cathedral with.
Will you accept guard rights, should you be given them?
No, not as a regiment in whole. But if individuals of the Lions want to take the 'Keeping the Alliance safe' one step further. They can individually request guard rights to guard the streets. But no, we won't become any guards. There's a huge differance between city guards, and soldiers.
What are your goals?
Our goals are, and always will be - To keep the Kingdom of Stormwind safe. If the horde raise an arm against any of It's allies, we'll be there to defend them. So basically to fight the Horde, drill an army. OOCly, there will be events where we drill our recruits and such. So not only world-pvp That would be the goals, long-shot, not as interesting as other guilds perhaps. But I have a feeling we'll somehow become part of the Stormwind politics.
P.S But that would be all for now, I'm running out of question and answers so to speak. If you wish to join, or have any questions. Contact either Jehorius or Velaire! For the Alliance! P.S Expect updates here! D.S

Updated the ranks, to avoid the boring ladder system - However, we are keeping the ranks for the 'superiors'. It is a military regiment after all.
