The LFRP Channel

Hello there, everyone :).

What I found (and still find) somewhat surprising is how few people actually use the LFRP channel! I think it's an excellent way of having random role-play with people you haven't met before (or have met!) in a completely obscure or popular location. Basically, this post is just trying to encourage you all, Alliance and Horde players alike, to start typing in that oh-so-useful /join LFRP command.

Obviously, it's a public channel that nobody does or can "own", so I just hope everybody will keep their discussions, arguements, gossip or whatever other mumbojumbo you want to talk about outside the channel since I for one - as many other people will agree with me, I'm sure - would like it if there isn't a lot of senseless spam in a channel that's sole purpose should be to find random role-play in-game.

So for instance, none of this please:
"OMIGOSH! Have you guys like heard about Paris' new you-know-what tape? She is like totally such a spaz, like for real."

But this:
"LFRP in Darnassus. I'm at the Warrior's Terrace if anyone's interested. :)"

Of course, I can't force you guys to behave (*gets out The Whip for good measure anyways*) but I can only imagine that people stopped using the LFRP channel because it degraded into some valley girl's blog or something. Anyways, I'd just like to repeat that I really hope more people start joining the LFRP channel and I'd like to emphasize once more that I hope you all don't start going off on a tangent every two seconds while in the channel!

Jokes aside, it's pretty much the reason I avoid such channels as well.

I can normally find RP by using the General channel - "Hey, any RPers around?" , but a LFRP channel is a good idea - I recently made an ooc channel for stormwind crimimals where you can pick up rumours and RP and stuff like that (/join SWCriminals), I'll join the LFRP channel in the future though and check it out! Thanks for the heads up ^.^

Exactly . Whitker, for example, often uses the channel to spread rumours about his fencing services and it's been used to spread rumours about possible job opportunities too ^.^

Criminal channel is a great idea. And I cant join the LFRP channel as im now maxed out of channel slots XD

Hopefully, that will not be the case anymore. Thankfully, there is very little (if at all) of whatever-the-heck-it-was you were refering to in your post on our realm anymore, so I doubt there should be any reason not to join the LFRP, unless of course you're not a role-player ;). Naturally, I can't make any of you join but I sure as heck can offer those who do oatmeal cookies! Mmm, yummy.

And I was referring to the spam which makes this forum's general chat look like London Gentlemen Club.

We've been experiencing a huge accumulation of tumbleweeds in the LFRP channe, so more people should /join LFRP and help us keep the army of the tumbleweeds at bay! /join now and save us from impending doom!

There's already RPAlliance, so I kind of fail to see the point of LFRP... >_>

RPAlliance is actually still kicking? Blimey, I left that channel.. a very long time ago. By that point it had just become a pointless spam/argument channel. I don't dislike the idea of RP seeking channels and whatnot, I just don't think they serve their purpose very well.

RPAlliance works pretty well, but players seem split between there and LFRP. If they could decide on one (preferably RPAlliance since it has a glorious history!) they would both work out a lot better.

This channel is actually surprisingly dead.

Actually, I have recently had one of the most fun encounters because I responded to a certain draenei's LFRP request :p. Maybe it is "dead" compared to octomom's uterus, but I'm using it and so are a number of people as well.

What's used the most Alliance RP or LFRP, because I don't want to have to join like 3 role play chanel.... It would be smart if everyone would gather on the same ^^

LFRP, there are more ppl, but you can easily join them and make a separate chatwindow for them and ocasionally take a look at it. They are dead most of the time though. Nearly no ppl there...
