(K) Veil of the Eclipse - Open event idea

A rumour can be overheard in taverns and trading posts of a night looming that bodes ill for the Kaldorei...

Veil of the Eclipse

“Just as the moon blesses, so does she also turn her gaze away. This night is the darkest and most dangerous. Each Kaldorei faces their own demons, their own wild side. Foreigners fear to travel our lands on nights like this, and so they should, we must remember what we were, what we can become”

The forests are treacherous this night, the darkest of skies under which deeds can be hidden. A good night to plan or plot, settle your old scores. This is a night to tear wild through the trees or to let loose hidden frustrations. Seek out your finest warriors; this is a fortunate night for a planned attack.

Likelihood of being arrested probably quite high if abroad and observing the Veil

This is an idea we've been kicking around on the NG forum, a counterpoint to the happy feasts of the Full Moon etc. Any Night Elf could really cut loose on this night, and we'd like to invite you to get up to some mischief too A set date on the calendar, but how you celebrate and what trouble you get into would be up to you.

This doesn't need to be a set event for a group, it could be something each of us could interpret in our own style. Go punt the nearest gnome into the SW canals, punch a deathknight, eviscerate an orc. Discover some dark hidden facet of your character. Enlist a couple of friends and go hunting, etc...

10th January as a proposed date, maybe a night before to prepare yourselves, and some time after to deal with the consequences of what you do.

Any non-Kaldorei can also get involved by arresting/fighting/handling our unusual behaviour. It's wide open to interpretation if anyone would like to go for it.

Seems like a great idea :3 Might bring an alt to Nelfland to see what happens. Or I might make a Nelf >_>
