[H] Join the sacred dark order of the Cult of Shadow

The Cult of Shadow is expanding its ranks as they begin their holy crusade to spread the dark faith of the Forgotten Shadow across the land. The Shadowpope has announced that Father Diederich Northcliffe will lead the Cult of Shadow as Darkcaller, while he communes with the Shadow. The Cult calls upon all Forsaken to join the one true path for the Unliving - the Shadow. In the name of the Shadow, enlist now.

What you can expect from the cult is very dedicated, strict and good quality Forsaken RP. From dramatic politics and powerstruggles, to the duties of the Church in the Forsaken land, to waging war with enemies of the Forsaken, working under the shadows as stalkers, and cross guild roleplaying - the Cult's got it all.

We're looking for more dedicated Forsaken roleplayers of any skill level.

The Cult is divided up into four main sections:

The Priesthood: The clergy is the critical backbone to any religious organisation. A member of the priesthood, the Shadowpope, leads the guild. Priests will direct ceremonies, influence the direction of the church, and take on all sorts of tasks.

The Inquisition: The inquisition is the law of the Cult, and land. Headed by a Grand Inquisitor, its main role is to weed out corruption within the ranks, hold confessions and delegate punishment where necessary. The Inquisition is a feared body in the Cult and in the land. The Inquisition, like the Shadowpope, has the power to excommunicate both members of the public as well as cult members.

The Lightslayers: These are the assassins and intelligence unit of the church. They hunt down and kill light worshippers and do the bidding of the Shadowpope when he commands it. They are lethal, feared assassins which undertake aggressive training to become so.

The Deathblade: This is the brute force of the cult. These are believers who do not have any direct connection with the Shadow, but will stop at nothing to see its will done. They form a militia headed by a Deathbringer.

The Cult does not accept other races than Forsaken, no. Deathknights of other races however are welcome to attend sermons in Deathknell, though we warn before hand, some Forsaken won't switch to Orcish easily IC'ly! So you might not understand half of it.

What of necromancers of different races? Not saying they should be joining the cult, of course, but what is the cults stance towards them? Basically...

What is the cults stance on faithful from other races?

They're useful and should die later than the others. The Prophet wills it!

Anything that is Living, if they're faithful or not, can be used, yes, but the Living will be thrown out of Deathknell if the Cult ever finds them there Even -if- they're faithful. Most of the Cult probably won't even see them as 'true' faithful since they're not Forsaken 'gifted'.

I would change that to them being cast some foul looks and generally not being liked. It's not nice to lock an area out from other RP-people.

I believe the Cult hates Necromancy. I read that on the wiki page, at least.

I will have a bit of cash soon, so I may indeed race change my BElf and join the cult!

The Cult of Forgotten Shadow plays an important role in Forsaken society. Shortly after the emancipation of the Forsaken and the formation of their culture, the Forsaken indulged in a momentary backlash against necromancers. Necromancy was seen as the art of slavery, the tool of the Scourge, and its use was repulsive to the newly liberated undead.

Fair point. We know that Garrosh tends to "change the Horde views" so much that the latter come after him in 5.3(?) with weapons drawn.

Have you been to the Silverpine lately? Though Blizz explained why alliance soldiers yell "for Sylvanas" right after they have been ressed, it still looks like things are not quite as they seem with Forsaken these days.

We have a necromancer as our Inquisitor, and we have several warlocks in our own ranks. So we don't dislike them, though some of course can have personal dislikes against them.

And Not literally Thrown out of Deathknell of course, but we'll certainly chase after the Living daring to enter if they don't want to leave if we catch them there If they leave or not (Deathknell aint that big and there is basically nothing to do there) is up to them, but we won't be very nice against those who refuse to go. Entering is a risk, for Living!

Forsaken who do not wish to serve the Queen are not executed.

What's her name, the daughter of the Inquisitor who is now in Scholomance, can't remember her name but she's an example of that.
