Spirit Walker III - They Will Find You Empty Spirit Walker III - They Will Find You

Never ending..

The whispers had been coming to Magaskawee for nearly a week, right when she thought silence had fallen on her, they returned. So many times in her life had she faced the whispers of spirits, however their tie to the mortal plain could only be maintained for so long, they usually faded by now. Gazing at the quillboar journal she frowned, low common was not a tongue she was fond of, nor fluent in, yet this quillboar had managed to master it. Flicking through the pages once more she sighed, gently setting the broken book down she gazed out of her tent. For days she swore she had just seen someone peak in, a face without eyes, just dark holes, boring into her soul. The feeling of dread descended on her again, it was dark as if the moonlight had been swallowed up.

You just watched..

The voices were louder, clearer... ... Familiar. Gazing round again slowly the face was inches from hers, the dark black holes even though empty, were pin pointed on her pupils. The feelings of fear, true primal fear came upon her, "C-chi..." The Spirit screamed wildly, it's neck slowly began to slide and it's head slammed into the dust with a thud. Magaskawee sat up swiftly from her desk, the tent was quiet, was it a dream? She clenched the amulet around her neck, given to her to investigate by the Chieftain, she felt safe with it. It was the first time she'd removed the vial of his blood from around her neck in some time. The amulet gave her comfort. Slowly the rays of An'she's glow filtered through the tent, she had survived another night, however she felt she could not keep this up. She was vulnerable here, her sickness was not improving.

They will find you..

The voice came again, not as clear as the last, she backed into a corner fearfully, expecting that face to return. It did not. The silence that followed covered her like a wall of water, cascading down her until an intake of breath broke it like waves on the sand. She couldn't stay. That would be suicide. What about the Chieftain? What about the Tribe?

They will understand..

It was right, if Magaskawee found what the quillboar sought, she'd be a true hero of her people... The prize the quillboar sorceress was close to achieving, imagine if Magaskawee presented it to her Cheiftain... He would take Baine's place, take Garrosh's place, the Shu'Halo would be the race that dictated war, dictated peace, they would end all the torment of this world. There was no doubts left in her mind, she had to achieve what the quillboar could not, to not do so would be betraying her own race, she wouldn't follow her tribe's footsteps, not this time. She'd go further, she'd make herself supreme in this matter, she'd do what others could not. Throwing herself upwards she threw books onto the floor, pulled open small boxes, the tent looked like a hurricane raged within. She fled, past the Red Rocks, past Bloodhoof, past the Great Gate.. Bael'modan..

They will not understand..

A Tauren approached, she knew the face briefly, perhaps of the Banner? Or just a coincidence, it was slowing, the passerby spoke, "Spirit Walker?" Magaskawee stood frozen, she twitched and looked up. She still did not recognise the face, she murmured to herself, "Mmmhm.. What-what.. Are you keeping me? Stupid girl.. Move.." Pushing past, the girl blinked, watching the Spirit Walker slumped into the marshes, trudging through the grasses, "They'll follow me.. They know.. They cannot know.." She plunged her hands into the water of the swamp, "Let all who dare seek me, feel your torment Spirits.. Make sure none follow.." Out of the water rose a collection of strange beings. Some were Tauren spirits, some Human and some could not be identified, the horrific manner of their death had made them unbearable to view. They slowly disappeared into the marshes, seeking those who would persue.

Back in the Southern Barrens the passerby blinked again, unknowing of the Spirit Walker's actions she frowned to herself, "I am sure that was her, the Chieftain has to be told." And with that she took to the air, her wings batting heavily against the war-torn sounds ascending through the air.
