Public section?

Perhaps the whole logging in business has already changed since I registered, but in case it hasn't, would it be an idea to make a small public section to allow potential visitors/new members of DB to ask questions or take a look at FAQs or a list of guilds or related sites or anything of the like?

I imagine it might be a bit of a hassle for them to have to sign up and be approved if they only just want to take a quick look. After all, it's quite easy for new people to shy away from the official realm forums, considering the forum clowns there.

I agree. A public section would be good for business.

Thats a feature i've seen on quite some big forums and I actually do approve of this idea wholey.

Another thing is I know this type of board comes with a chatbox normally for members, a place where quick IM chat can occur.

It might be worth looking in to see if that's possible.
