If you could recruit anyone to your guild...

Just a little game:

If you could recruit to your character's guild any person, be they fictional, historical, a character from a film, book, tv series, comic...who would it be and why?

Personally, for the Blades, it'd have to be Bronn from Game of Thrones



The whole attitude, the fighting style, the outlook, everything a mercenary should be, impeccably loyal whilst the money's there, and not too weighed down by 'honour'. Realist rather than idealist, grounded by a hard life and common sense.

Either would probably be a poor choice for any RP setting. This is partly the challenge many military Light orders might be confronted with, in my opinion. With a romanticised image of the Knight and a materialised power of faith in this setting, your ideal candidate's first requirement is to lack realism.

If I would take a -slightly- more realistic character, then I would pick this bastard without his royal heritage and the mary sue treats:

A ranger, a fighter, and a not too shabby commander in time of need. I find it an odd combination to see both a leader and a lonely character combined into one however.
But I'd certainly imagine a (wo)man who will not sit around and wait for some miracle but move out in the world, choosing purpose over personal comfort. A man so bound by honor that his internal conflict would not be the choice of his path but how to come at peace with the path laid before him.

Perhaps even better than a watered down version of Aragorn would be a woman. A healer of her people, forced to become a fighter to defend them, but I could not find a character matching that description.

The person I'd love to see in my guild-to-be or guild-to-enter will most certainly be Captain Kathrine Janeway. Her sense of duty, respect and brave attitude and also her gentle side would be an asset to any guild.

Lucius Vorenus from the TV series Rome. His stoic, staunch and dutiful attitude is just the kind of orc that Koz can use nowadays. Not to mention he's a great character in general. <3
