[A+H] The Festival of Light

Yes, it's that time of the year again, where I get my thumb out of my arse and prove I can do more than just complain and kill lowbies. Last year's Festival of the Light (or "Festival of Lights" to Orcish speakers) was a huge success, becoming the largest event I've ever hosted personally in terms of sheer attendance, and the encouraging feedback I recieved made me decide very quickly to try make it an annual thing, and this september it comes around again for Round 2.

The event is on the 5th of september - Sunday - starting at 18:00 ("Sundown") and going on however long it can keep momentum, hopefully long beyond the arranged festivities! Just as last year, everyone regardless of race or affiliation is welcome given the nature of the festivities, and hosts for both the Alliance (Sanara) and the Horde (Nessra) will be present to help people get acclimatized if something's off!

Given my current lack of involvement in WoW as a whole I can't promise much of a running plot or dramatic value beyond what you bring yourselves, and ultimately this event is all about the festival itself and the celebrations of camraderie, especially with the dark threat of future hostilities looming over Azeroth. Indeed, given the presence of two increasingly hostile factions drama might just write itself!

The event's "schedule" is the same as last year with a few "encouraged activities" planned;

- Gift Sharing (Everyone is encouraged to bring gifts to give to other attendees),

- The Burning of Sins (Write a Confession on a piece of paper, tie the paper to a Firework Piece and send it off)

- Lightshow (Fireworks bonanza from the elevated areas and all around the festival grounds.)

- Quel'danas Memoriam (Speech to remind the Horde and the Alliance of the sacrifices made by both to defeat Kil'jaeden)

I kid, looks like a wonderful event and I hope to attend on someone! Perhaps Vezzy.

Good luck! Let's hope it'll be as good as last year, had a great time giving my speech and RP afterwards, I demand it be at least better than what we had last year by a factor of 1.5!

Indeed, 18:00 as previously stated. If anyone has any urgent questions they should try contacting Sanara (if Alliance) or Nessra (if Horde) in-game.

I'd love to come to this but it's a bit too early for me :/. I hope everything goes really well though and that everyone has lots of fun .

I'll try to keep a reign on the belves, don't want them to try and kill the squids like last year.

Nice to see so many people in Sin Belore showing up, as well as the largest Draenei gathering I've seen all year.

It did hurt..

For both both IC and OOC reasons I couldn't stay, didn't see many alliance members there, more than a bunch of draeneis but quite many blood elves (which is why Mael didn't stay).

But good work and hope the event turned out well
