(Rp-PvP) Campaign/Secret Mission: To strike the Forsaken reinforcements to Broken Isles at Lordaeron
This thread is meant to include the future and current updates on the situation of this campaign in question.
The shortened version of the Plan for: (Rp-PvP) Campaign/Secret Mission: To strike the Forsaken reinforcements to Broken Isles at Lordaeron
Overview
The Ninth Company has received a secret mission from the Stormwind military command in these dark days. The mission is as follows: To strike the Forsaken reinforcements to Broken Isles at Lordaeron. This move is because the Forsaken are at conflict at the Broken Isles with the allies of Stormwind, the Gilneans, led by King Greymane.
Also it seems after having lost the Highlord Tirion Fordring, The Argent Crusade is in chaos, as was told to Captain Reyxor by an unnamed source. This would mean that in exchange of a permission to use Hearthglen as a base of operations, given to The Ninth Company from an unnamed general of The Argent Crusade, The Ninth Company will do what it can for upholding order and being as protectors at Western Plaguelands both in Alliance and The Argent Crusade settlements.
In other words:
The Ninth will move from Tyr's Hand with its full force into Western Plaguelands in a week. Specific date/time not given, due to secrecy needed. The Ninth will move to Hearthglen and make there its base of operations for protecting the settlements at WPL and helping the Argent Crusade in their struggle after having lost their Highlord Tirion Fordring. There is also a secret mission to strike the Forsaken reinforcements to Broken isles at Lordaeron.
So we'll be staying with the Ninth at Western Plaguelands for an unknown period of time. This will be the main location, other being Stormwind, with The Ninth Company presence.
We will be gladly accepting rp-pvp from Horde and Alliance rp:ers as well to take part in this. It's quite simple plan, but it's meant to last for quite long. Since it's a very difficult one to succeed and can't be worked fast to take place.
I thank for reading and hope to see you there at Western Plaguelands in a week or join in for the departure from Tyr's Hand, date will be known later but will be withheld from public knowledge.

The Venomspine Pariahs are definitely interested in this, being mostly Forsaken ourselves. We'd love to hear more from you guys about organizing things regarding this plot!

Re: (Rp-PvP) Campaign/Secret Mission: To strike the Forsaken reinforcements to Broken Isles at Lordaeron
That's great, there is a quiet period now until we move to Hearthglen latest early next week, but since the complete area of Western Plaguelands and some parts of Western and South Western Lordaeron will be the target areas, there is lots to do for us.
Will try to keep thread and other means updated, when situation might be good from our part for getting to pvp.
Also if Horde has some plans to deal with this possible threat, will try to see to it, that from our part all goes well, I mean we will try to prevent as much as we can the possible threats to the mission and maintaining order/protecting settlements.

On Sunday the 9th of October The Ninth Company left the settlement of Tyr's Hand to relocate the Company's headquarters at Lordaeron to Hearthglen at Western Plaguelands.

Battlemap
Company has been drawing a battlemap for the campaign at Western Plaguelands. This strategy map will be used for planning the campaign.
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
State of Zone at the start of the Campaign
Chillwind Camp
The base of Alliance presence in the Plaguelands, Chillwind Camp is well supplied and fortified. This would be the arrival point for any Alliance ground forces travelling to the area.
The Bulwark
The base of Horde presence in the Plaguelands, The Bulwark is well supplied and fortified. This would be the arrival point for any Horde ground forces travelling to the area.
Andorhal
The former great settlement in the centre of the region, Andorhal is hotly contested by the Horde and the Alliance – having bases in the east and west of the city respectively. Prior to the campaign Scourge remnants were driven out of the city by a combined effort from both factions, but any hopes of truce were squashed by a visit from Sylvanas Windrunner.
The Alliance-held sector contains an Inn and Docks, along with a damaged tower. The gate and bridge that guard the path out of the city to the south-west are also under Alliance control.
The Horde-held sector is partially walled off from the rest of the city, with towers to the north watching over the northern road into Andorhal and farmlands to the south near the south-east bridge leading towards Uther’s Tomb. Inside the sector is both a blacksmith and a stables.
There are also 3 damaged towers that are unoccupied in the city centre, two watching the northern entrance and the other one near the south-east bridge.
Hearthglen
Situated in the hills to the north of Andorhal, Hearthglen was the heart of Argent Crusade operations in the Western Plaguelands. However following the loss of Highlord Fordring, and many more Crusaders at the Broken Shore, the town has been offered as a garrison to the Ninth Company in exchange for their aid in securing Argent lands across region. As such, the town’s facilities are split between the Crusade and the Ninth Company.
The Ninth Company has elected to take the large tower next to the mine as the Company’s headquarters.
Hearthglen also offers a gold mine, blacksmith, stable, guard tower, and barracks. The single road that leads to the town is watched by a strong gate and fortified walls.
Caer Darrow
The island fortress situated in the middle of the Darrowmere Lake has long been abandoned. Home to the infamous Scholomance School, it is a popular destination for would-be adventurers from both factions.
However should a faction seek to capture the island, it has a dock, a blacksmith, and a workshop ready to be put back in action.
The gate that guards the only entrance to the town has been destroyed and the bridge leading to it damaged, if both were to be repaired then the island would be a formidable challenge to any forces seeking to challenge it.
The Menders Stead
An Argent Crusade encampment on the outskirts of Dalson’s Farm, it allows the Crusader’s to watch the crossroads where the only road to Hearthglen meets the only road from The Bulwark to the Eastern Plaguelands.
Dalson’s Farm
Recently manned by the Cenarion Circle, the Farm is the centre of restorative efforts by both the Circle and the Crusade to return life to these plagued lands.
Felstone Field
An Alliance-held farm to the north of Andorhal, Felstone Field sits in a vulnerable position between both The
Bulwark and Andorhal.
The Writhing Haunt
An abandoned farm, the Writhing Haunt lies to the east of Andorhal. Rumour has it that the farm may not be completely abandoned however there has been no official word on this matter.
Gahrron’s Withering
The last remaining bastion of Scourge presence in the Plaguelands, further details unknown.
Uther’s Tomb
The tomb of the legendary Paladin Uther Lightbringer and nearby cemetery has been established as neutral ground between the factions.
Redpine Dell
The fields and forest to the south of Hearthglen have been overrun by gnolls.
Northridge Lumber Camp
To the north-east of Redpine Dell is the Northridge Lumber Camp, manned by the Argent Crusade.
The Weeping Cave
The Weeping Cave was once an iron mine but has been overrun by beasts and monsters. A successful venture could see the mine restored to its former glory.
Malicia’s Outpost
To the south of the Weeping Cave is Malicia’s Outpost, a large cultist encampment. Affiliation of said Cultists is unknown.
Taelen’s Tower
The damaged tower that watches the road leading up to Hearthglen has been overrun by gnolls, because of this the road is heavily patrolled but the gnolls are yet to be driven out of the tower.

Good to know this, I've been feeling a bit down lately and entirely forgotten to join the march up, but I'll try my best to set something up with the Dwarves along your troops up north, if we can discuss some dates for events etc.
If I'm not available, feel free to talk to Borming, Gloek or Josgur about organizing something. Time I put them to work with something more than inviting dwarves and organizing raids.

Re: (Rp-PvP) Campaign/Secret Mission: To strike the Forsaken reinforcements to Broken Isles at Lordaeron
An evacuation of Felstone Field will take place on Saturday 22th starting at 20:00 realm time.
Alliance has received news that one farm has been destroyed by an Orc party. Alliance will take precautions and starts to evacuate the civilians at Western Plaguelands starting with Felstone Field, which is the most under threat of becoming also destroyed.
Alliance will start from Hearthglen and move to Felstone Field and leave afterwards back to Hearthglen.
Horde are invited to do a skirmish to strike the Alliance who are moving on the mission, at nearby Felstone Field or elsewhere.
When the event ends, the Felstone Field will be in the control of the winning side. But Alliance will succeed in the evacuation in any case.

Re: (Rp-PvP) Campaign/Secret Mission: To strike the Forsaken reinforcements to Broken Isles at Lordaeron
Report date, 7th of November
On 6th of November, the Ninth Company with a few from the Clans of Khaz Modan fought against the Horde at the central area of Western Plaguelands.
The Ninth received a day earlier the dwarves from the Clans of Khaz Modan to Hearthglen. The dwarves came in a good timing, since Ninth has recently been fewer in strength due to Captain Bauldur got a mission from Stormwind to go aid the front at the Broken Isles.
However the battle that took place, was ended in both sides the Horde and the Alliance to fall back and advance in quite evenly matched. No clear victory was able to be had for either side.
The Horde seemed to be the same ones, who had attacked the evacuation convoy from Felstone field some weeks ago.

report from 18th of November:
The Ninth went to the Alterac to make an outpost for further missions into Hillsbrad Foothills, Silverpine Forest and what other use can be found for an forward post at Alterac. This was necessary due to Hearthglen would be simply too far for missions further south. There is already a portal the mages have prepared for moving from Alterac easily and safely to Hearthglen and back, at the keep or garrison of Alterac.

Re: (Rp-PvP) Campaign/Secret Mission: To strike the Forsaken reinforcements to Broken Isles at Lordaeron
Looks great, Reyxor. How's the fighting been on this front so far? How many's been on the Alliance side and how many on the Horde side?
Red Reach Raiders are returning to Eastern Kingdoms on Tuesday, and there will be The Horde Gathering at 23th of November.
We are probably able to mobilize the entire Horde to come say "hi", but will that be counter-productive to the plot? One possibility would be to mobilize a great deal of Horde guilds, and retaliate in force, to the point that Alliance have to ask for more reinforcements from down south to Stormwind/Ironforge/other orders.
Could be an IC way to involve others, if the Horde starts to push back upon Alliance territory in a scope that Ninth & Clans can not handle themselves.
Well, providing that other Hordies are interested of such. Just talking of possibilities in here.

@Skarain
We are not that many, and the numbers vary. I say group of around 5 currently. Really depends on how many happen to be available. But I hope there will be support from Clans of Khaz Modan, which is looking like good possibility.
If you'll mobilize the Horde, that would be disasterous, since we are a simply too few for a battle. Mobilizing Alliance, ehm. we really are on our own here, if there was not the door opening for the Clans of Khaz Modan, we'd have a rough prediction for this ending badly in terms of achieving the mission Ninth is on. But not complaining. Actually we are doing quite well.
There is this issue of preparing a good suitable timing for us and Horde, since there aren't always available players when it would suit one side, the other side might be few.
We have further mission in preparation, which will involve rp-pvp, if we can get the event prepared with the Horde enough beforehand, and I can't see why we couldn't. Communication has been good so far in general. The next mission concerns Tarren Mill with its Plague supplies, research and production, which we are to sabotage.
So what the Horde gathering will be, can concern our mission ic, but I think they have to see us prepare for a hide and seek, if they actually are going after Ninth in greater numbers, a mission they'd lose lots of supplies and achieve nothing, since we'd leave Alterac, if their forces are too great, and return after Horde leaves. So it wouldn't be a very economically sound mission for the Horde and would be for nothing.

Re: (Rp-PvP) Campaign/Secret Mission: To strike the Forsaken reinforcements to Broken Isles at Lordaeron
Report from 28th of November
Scouting mission to Tarren Mill
The Ninth Company started a scouting patrol from the garrison at the Ruins of Alterac to scout Tarren Mill and its possible objectives for a further strike on Tarren Mill, which is supposedly going to take place later.
Ninth was confronted by heavy Horde resistance, seemingly undead from the Forsaken. The scouting group traveled around Tarren Mill settlements, trying to see any possible targets, however there were multiple strikes on the scouting group by the Forsaken group.
The information gathered will provide useful on planning the actual strike on the settlement.

Captain of the Ninth Company.

But as it wasn't for a longer period of time, I think not all was destroyed. Like inside buildings and below ground level rooms. And the buildings were not destroyed. I think this was only a raiding not a capture. As we didn't leave troops there. So it can be settled again by the undead. And some maybe escaped the situation (npc:s). Also the defenders (npc) maybe survived by fleeing since there was not much opposition except the Forsaken guards (npc). Same with the Horde (players) who fled to Ruins of Southshore although were causing difficulties to the mission.

All right. The battle is over Horde has kept possession of the bridge and will continue to reinforce it.

Report from 9th of January
At the mountain path from Plaguelands to Hinterlands was reported to have bloodelf movements. The Alliance ambushed the Horde moving at the mountain path towards Hinterlands. Battle was difficult with both sides gaining some success, but eventually Horde pushed through the mountain path and gained entrance to Hinterlands.
The Ninth Company made landing with the help from Reynard and his vessel "Javelin" on the shore of Hillsbrad and made an encampent at Durnholde Keep ruins. Where Ninth gathered to a mission to Aerie Peak, for supporting the dwarven stronghold against Horde incursion.

This or something similar maybe should be applied at least in situations when settlements would be in question. Patrols don't need such perhaps, since it's not game changing who wins. It would give the battles some difficulty for attacking settlements. This would make it heavier for the attacker, which would work maybe like siege would need overpower to accomplish. This should be so in situation when attacking settlements, defenders would gain advantage like it should be.
It could make easier undecided battles from the point it would be in use. Since obviously it should be applied to when fighting over a settlement, or else the settlement will stay, in undecided battle situation, held by the defender.

Re: (Rp-PvP) Campaign/Secret Mission: To strike the Forsaken reinforcements to Broken Isles at Lordaeron
Campaign is still ongoing, even with some need for more interest on Horde side.
I'm planning on continuing the campaign rp-pvp with the help from Wargames within Alliance and the "Horde" will use an elixir to look skeleton as Forsaken or something else to look like Horde. This is just to keep the rp-pvp going, since it's what Ninth is wanting to have, so if there is interest to this on Ally side then it'd be nice. This elixir I tested to be able to look like skeleton for 10 min also in a bg with no cooldown

Wargames in bg:s like Battle for Gilneas would fit well to the events. It needs although at least 5v5 teams, but good thing is the teams need that minimum but in bg:s the teams can be uneven like 5v8 is possible. Arenas need the teams to be even though. The objectives are not needed to be played, but there can be ic objectives within the bg itself, so it might be different from an ordinary bg with resources or flags. I hope this to fill the gap of players wanting to have rp-pvp including myself. Also in small scale arenas or even duels could be used in the events.

A video mostly from the Lordaeron Campaign, and I recommend watching in parts or picking the interesting events, what ever they might be. It's an hour long, so it's heavy and mostly pvp battles (all I recorded from actual fighting). I have still material from the later event like 2x this video's material, but not yet gotten to make it in a video, it's time consuming and having multiple video projects ongoing too.
So from Hinterlands pass to Reinforcements arriving "unsuccesfully" to Tirisfal Glades. The actual campaign started before the events in this video, but they are in videos in Ninth recruitment thread at: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
