Who we are (In character)
We are a traders and craftsmen guild that also functions as an honorary family for its members. The Clan has a developed hierarchical structure which rewards commitment, loyalty, and hard work. At the lower echelons of our group we offer anything from simple labor, to craftsmen and artisans, to regional management positions, and even mercenary and protection work. Reaching the heights of those positions, you open yourself up to being selected by members in the upper ranks to join them as apprentices. This opens your characters door to both internal and external politics, intrigue, and positions of greater influence. With power being split among those at the top, politics is a big part of our guilds day to day activities.

Some of our planned in character activities are:

• Hosting and participating in markets, bazaars, and other areas of trade
  
• Making appearances at both world and community organised events
  
• Weekly or biweekly guild and council meetings
  
• Regular votes for who sits on the council
  
• Group journeys along trade routes across both land and sea
  
• Trials and courtroom meetings for guild members who break the Clans laws
  

The above can change, expand, or diminish depending on the ruling council. A council with more hostile members may arrange trade route raids and ambushes (World PvP), for example, while less expansionist councils may rather consolidate power in a particular area rather than travel. This creates an ever changing environment which is controlled by our community. We also encourage interaction with other characters and guilds, as we wish to be a part of our servers living world, so anyone who isn't a member is always free to approach in character!

Who we are (Out of character)
While Roleplay is our primary focus, we also wish to partake in normal progression as a guild. While there will be a loose correlation between the guilds out of character and in character hierarchies, they still function separately, as we also wish to distinguish between in character and out of character positions of the same "rank". Currently our out of character focus will be PvE, as our current and founding members are not well versed in PvP, however we do encourage our experienced members to take on teaching roles to educate players in either PvP, PvE, or both (if it is asked of them). We want to encourage a healthy and helpful community within our ranks.

We have a website up and running which contains our application form (which is longer or shorter depending on if you want to not partake in our non roleplaying events and activities), a news feed, current guild events, and a guild forum. The website is for both members and our friends, and you can specify if you are joining as part of the Defias Brotherhood community and not as a member when you apply to the site! Anyone interested in joining for RP will also require either a prior in character meeting with one of the clan leaders (in which they expressed interest in joining) or a post application IC meeting. If not joining for RP I express again that our primary focus is Roleplay.
