Confession!

I once got curious about "shadowdancer" as a class used by some in WoW. Went on a fun search around of any stuff about it in the warcraft universe and even the rpg, mostly took a look at DnD pathfiner as well where the thing is actually a thing and since WoW took a lot from DnD anyway i went on to compare, speculate and build a generic char and think how i'd work in wow.

Another thing is that in the past when I started out RP i then went into lore and check things on anything, trying to find every little bit on things I found interesting. Asking other people questions was fun too seeing diffrent oppinions but I went on to prefer looking things up for myself.

Led into reading comics, some books to find out more bit of lore one could use.

Whether you like some kind of rp or not is subjective. Of course some people are going to call one thing "good" while others disagree. Both parties have the right to look elsewhere for the kind of story -they- enjoy.

2 confessions in one:

1. I just deleted a wall of text I was about to post because then I figured "eh there's a simpler way of saying with not as much info but enough to make one understand. (Really big wall of text).

2. I've had people compliment the depth of my character while comparing it to the other character I rp with whilst saying "You know, I really like your X character. Way better and more indepth than your Y one"

which makes me go "awww...well okay" because my Y character has a gigantic background compared to X, aswell as the reasons for his silly cliche behavour. Difference being, the poor guys background is his dirty secret and a mystery, so it's very unlike he'd go around explaining whats up, which results in people assuming he got -no story at all-.

Life lesson here, don't judge the way a character is being roleplayed without 100% certainty that whatever story he has, has been revealed either OOCly or ICly.

So yes, either army, civilian service (working for some thing of the state) or prison.

Sure, you 'can' avoid it by going into the army and then "break up" mentally or physically in there, in where they send you home, but in the end it's an okay experience if thinking afterwards, as you won't be sent into war or such.

It just feels like shit the moment you -are- there.

We're only forced into war if we are attacked. We do not however send our soldiers out to war to foreign countries. Even the name of finnish army is "Puolustusvoimat", translated as "Defense Forces".

My county had Conspriction that you had to go for a time go to the army, but has given it up, so people like me haven't had it. Be that good or bad *shrug*

But pretty much the same as said here. These days least here you only really get a letter from the army when you're 18 for a little just presentation about the army and so. Technically conspriction is still there but it's not obligatory here as opposed to say Finland.

Other people have explained how finnish army works so I dont have to, thanks.

Basic day in the army:
Wake up at 05:15, followed by 15min morning jog, breakfast and cleaning of the dorm me + 8 others sleep in. Then we walk 4km to the firing range (with 40kg of shit on our back, ofc) and manage to pull off one round of shooting before alarm gets sounded. We RUN back to the barracks, grab our govermental aid backpack which weights even more then the regular as it has all the camping stuff in it. We hop on trucks, drive off and then walk 10-20km searching the lost person we got called for. Its 18:05 and Im sitting in a cold tent while my mates are trying to light a fire in the stove. All of my gear is wet from sweat and Im pissed off because the search will continue as soon as we get some air support. Army sucks.

Not a RP confession but still a confession.
