State of Gilneas?

Just curious to see what state Gilneas is in since I am not sure. Is it empty and destroyed as it seems in-game?

If I remember it right, it's partly plagued, partly wrecked by cataclysms and wars, and 100% contested (although I don't have the impression that there is large-scale fighting there any longer. My guess would be hunting parties/guerilla warfare from time to time).

^ Think there was a Blizz post about it being still plagued and so but that above would be accurate.

On the other hand though people do what they want. But that wasn't the question!
