Death Knight army?

Here's a guild idea, just putting it out there,
An army of Death Knights, former warriors of the scourge, all under the command of the Alliance! This guild would most likely be RP-PVP, with a few lovely raids for OOC enjoyment. I think their base would definitely be Archerus.

By the way, if you're gonna say something like: "Raids? RP-PVP? But you have no healers!", well, I'm not quite sure on that matter, but I'm guessing we could have some priests who IC act as Shadow Priests/Necromancers, but OOCly are healers.

It has been done before, so the idea is not exactly new. It works as long as the people running the guild have the motivation to continue doing it, just with any guild or concept really.

In that scenario it would also be relevant to think about:
What does a dk army do when RPing? Is it a brotherhood of equals or a military unit with ranks? Is the bulk of our RP events, or is the guild more of an arena for random rp? How would IC and OOC recruitment happen?

Less important, more nitpicking questions:
Do we as a guild go by Drustai's notion of Soulblades, or stick to the runeblades as presented in the starter zone (plain weapon, honed by runeforging and the blood of an opponent slain in battle)? Do we stick to the more direct interpretation: "undead are not affected by saronite" or do we rather interpret it as: "the undead couldn't be affected by saronite because their minds weren't their own when Arthas reigned"? How would I keep fresh members from feeding on innocents in the Pig and Whistle every day until we're the most hated guild on the server?

... Just in case "never gonna make this guild myself" should change.

Also Thelos, I personally very much like the idea, but using the word "scarlet" will make every unimaginative* sod on the server go: "kek they all died twice". Embracing the core of their attitudes towards the Light/undead, but avoiding the name might dodge the issue.

*There is no way ideals or religions could outlive their original followers, amirite?

I would guess that the player have moved on into other plans by now, considering that it has been around two months since the last response to the thread.

Regarding Reborn Scourge, i do still live in hope of seeing your recruitment thread in the registery section once you find the time to write it. Also, thumbs up for having Shadowmourne on your Death Knight. While it may not have great use for a PvP/PvE player, in a Death Knight roleplayer's hand a rune-axe of such detail is simply beautiful.

Well we tried to resurrect it, to bad it turned out such a failure due to people simply not coming online. We still exist however, on a private realm.

Cult guilds can work.
Scarlet guilds can work.

I'd find it hard to argue they're worse than the usual "HOUSE NOBLE" and "GUARD" roles guilds take. It's just that it becomes a HELL of a lot more obvious when people do it badly, because you can't exactly run around Stormwind or such going "RAWR IM EVIL"
In personal experience it just comes down to how well people vet potential recruits, and the leadership not being leaderSHIT
