Re: Tzeentch's Thread of Everchanging Topics
Heh, that's uhh...that's some thought right there.
But thanks for the advice, maybe I'm just going through that unlike my sister who seems pretty upset by it; I don't think she knew of any of that stuff I do.
But thanks, it's nice to know I have people online when I have none here (it's so desolate here, friends are always 10 miles away at least) *hug*

Re: Tzeentch's Thread of Everchanging Topics
24 and I've lost track of how many funerals I've been to. Around ten, I guess. Most of them were old people I didn't really know, some of them were slightly closer and one was my best friend.
Even when the deceased is someone who you didn't really know, the general atmosphere in the funeral can easily bring your mood down. Or rather, down...er. Funerals arent really a cheery occasion in the first place. But then again it might just be me absorbing the sorrow from everyone else while trying to remain as stoic as possible. And even then that one song breaks me completely every time by reminding me of my friend's funeral.
And now I have to wonder why I'm telling this to you all out of all people.

This is for those who passed away
In the end of the day, we'll meet them around Valhalla anyway.

Due to alwasy being in the wrong country at the wrong time I have missed a few funerals. Actualy had to do an exam while the funeral was held. A course I sucked at but managed to do it almost flawless. You knows, moments like that feel sureal. Funeral or not, there's always the nostalgia with the memories.

Lo, there do I see my father
Lo, there do I see my mother and my sisters and my brothers
Lo, there do I see the line of my people back to the beginning
Lo, they do call to me
They bid me take my place among them in the Halls of Valhalla
Where the brave may live.
Forever.

You know what the weirdest thing is? The radio was on when I got the news and it was none other than Rick Astley who was playing.
His new song, but still.
And uhhh, Catholicism doesn't involve Valhalla so if he ever went somewhere where heroes reside, I'd think he'd be pretty pissed D:
I still don't know about the funeral...I kinda don't want to go due to the feeling of grief that would probably fill the room.
Plus it'd be a Catholic funeral...and if you knew what they were like...

Re: Tzeentch's Thread of Everchanging Topics
(No offense intended, the following text is the Author's own opinion and he in no way forces you to agree or disagree with him!)
- Spoiler:
- Catholicism is the most weird religion ever...
It tells you about how God cares for you yet forces you to torture yourself by going to the Church and listening to the scripture that is red in a manner beyond boring or dead.
It tells you the God forgives yet it rejects any other religion, such as Muslim.
It tells you it's based on peace, while in reality all it's done in all the centuries it existed was sucking the money out of anything they see (Believers, Arabs, governments...)
At least Vikings openly stated: "Yeah, we came to kick your ass. Got a problem? Well direct it to Odin yourself!" *Hammer smash*
Unlike the Christian Templars: "We came with peace... Give us all you have and there will be peace! ETERNAL PEACE FOR YOU! MWAHAHAHA *Diabolical laughter*..."

Ahh don't worry, I'm not a Catholic; just he was and my granny.
My mum's now a spiritual type and my dad just doesn't give a crap about religion, so heh. S'all good.

"Spiritual type?"
I hope it's not like some people I know, the best word to describe it would be...
Cult?
They gather together, they pray, they pay to the guy who organizes it and never see him again in 6 months.
Oh and of course, the internet sites with suspiciously large text files...

No, that's Americans you're thinking of.
Spiritual type as in believing wellbeing comes from one's self, positive thinking and peaceful mind and all that.

As much as I like the hugs and comfort, I'm still feeling unbelievably frustrated with myself over this.
I even discussed it with my brother (who's autistic but hey-ho) and even he found it unusual, but he wasn't feeling anything either (typically due to autism); he just found it weird that I was quite happily still going about my stuff. I did say to him that I do feel quite sour over the fact that he was opposed to my mum and dad marrying (but luckily, he did know that he did end up going to the wedding, in the end), also the fact that I hadn't seen them in so long.
Bah! I don't want to go to the funeral now ._.

Haha, try wearing a helly hanson jacket around Falcon Square then, Jakins... That'll get you to your very own funeral.
