Karabor looks to be the most amazing place to role-play ever.

Pandaria had a lot of great nice spots and views as well (just think of Jade Forest), I like where Blizzard is going, for us role-players is a godsendThelos wrote:Karabor looks to be the most amazing place to role-play ever.

My only irk is I hope there won't be an out of control mob spree like Pandaria seems to have. Where places are full of mobs like main roads, every building outside of a town/any other fancy place etc and leave some open spaces.

The roads, at least in Frostfire Ridge, seem to be rather safe to travel by. Exceptions being when you wander into an explicitly hostile area (there's, for example, a part of the zone with lots of hostile elementals). It's certainly not as bad as Pandaria, at least.

I don't think there will me mobs all over the place since as far as I know we won't be able to use flying mounts

Hmmm, I can't remember but did someone post something about blueshielding the respective "starter zones"?

Re: Warlords of Draenor - General Discussion
Frostfire Ridge/Shadowmoon Valley aren't blueshielded. Neither is the Dark Portal starter experience, but from what I can tell it's phased so you only see allied players.

Too bad most role-players won't have the pleasure of enjoying these locales, glued as they are to Stormwind.

It really is just a matter of finding a valid reason to leave the comforts of home for a foreign land for any length of time. Some characters have no interest leaving Stormwind, nothing to gain or enjoy in Jade Forest. It seems silly to me to condescend it :p

The end creates the reason, other than the other way around.
But maybe that's just me.

Re: Warlords of Draenor - General Discussion
In the end, you'll want to roleplay where there are others too. For me, that often translates into "set HS to Stormwind".
I love Pandaland to death too, but that's where I content (yes, I verbed it), so it's nice with a visual change in enviroment/mood reflecting the switching from inferior ingame activities to actual roleplay.

Looking back and reading my last two posts they seem very douchy to me. My apologies; I should know better than to drink and post. Elitist grumpypants Thelos sometimes gets the better of me.

Re: Warlords of Draenor - General Discussion
To these who criticises roleplayers are 'glued' to Stormwind. Let me tell you in -some- storylines that may not be as Awesome as you may see yourself, makes sense to their characters to be house mouses and love their capital.
As in there is also guilds that it makes sense they have instant glue to a capital city, since alas Capital city, there is always something going on, aka citizenship.
But heeeey, I guess it must be a really good glue.
Just an observation there.

I'm leaving for Draenor as soon as it opens up with all my characters because I have a lot of people to kill IC there, also I love the zone's graphic, I will probably move into my little town where Thorvald and his soldiers are stationed, the good old Orc ganking group will join together once more to fight in Draenor and its gonna be awesome.
