Things to do in Exodar when it's dead
Bored in Draenei Starting Zones and comming up with a few ideas to pass the time.
Throwing them in here first to see if people have an interest before committing to the actual Event thread
Idea 1: Elekk Riding
Ever wanted to learn how to ride one of these huge mammoth like things?Or just want to learn how to ride a standard non mechanical Living mount.Well now you can...
providing of course that you have high enough rep with the appropriate faction or failing that another mount and want to learn to ride. And are the propper lvl
Event Type:
Standard DM event where the DM likely an expert rider or stable master ect... will go around with some learner riders and teach them the basics.
Event Location:
Around one of the starting areas Area selection will depend on numbers and intrest in event
Event Time:
Again probably a week or two depending on other scheduled event clashes and RL things.

Re: Things to do in Exodar when it's dead
Might be interesting, especially if you manage to hook large guilds into it. However if you want more life to The Exodar, you'd need to talk with various adventuring guilds about possibilities to visit the location. I don't think anyone, expect Draenei guilds, would be interested to remain in the area for very long times unless it was an event/campaign/other organized happening. It is just a fact that The Exodar is kinda far-away from everything (admitted, you can get there easily by boat), and most roleplayers, especially new ones, tend to gather around Stormwind. Still, to not let my earlier words discourage, there is always the possibility that you manage to draw other guilds into the area and made them to stick around, but such won't happen if they are the only guild/group/person around to interact with. As you mentioned in the title, The Exodar is dead, and few are willing to stay in an area where no roleplaying is found, so it is either to organize roleplaying or to draw other roleplaying guilds into the area and give them an interesting reason to stick around.
Just my few thoughts, since the thread had no earlier replies. Maybe this gets this up to speed.

We shall see I suppose as always past experiences usually put me off trying to "draw" people anywhere or make massive events for that matter. But when the mood actually strikes it tends to go well

We briefly discussed it in guild chat, and the Band of the Brave would love to spend a week or so in the Exodar/Teldrassil area.
...But not right now.
