[A] Ironhold Prison

"Welcome to Ironhold, inmate... Welcome home."
Ironhold has primarily been a Prisoner of War encampment since the Second War. Both Alliance and Horde members have been detained at Ironhold during it's controversial history, leading to frequent violence among inmates within Ironhold's walls. Brawls between a small number of inmates are usually left alone by the guardsmen, and in fact serves as a form of entertainment for all those baring witness. Standard protocol states that guard intervention is only required during mass violence, or if an inmate appears to be nearing death.
Ironhold hasn't been at full capacity for quite some time. As a result, the Warden has decided to receive any and all criminals sent his way - be it from Stormwind or elsewhere. An appearance has already been made before the Council, and contact has been made with the Stormwind Regiment whom have negotiated terms for co-operation.
Many rumors are in circulation about Ironhold. Do you believe them?
"I heard that the prisoners in there can be beaten half to death for almost nothing..."
"You know Ironhold, right? A buddy o' mine's cousin got released a while back. Said that the Warden organises these fight tournaments for all the prisoners n' forces 'em to take part.."
"Ironhold.. Yeah I heard a'that place. Don't they got some creepy old Doctor that performs 'experiments' on misbehavin' inmates? Spooky.."
"Ironhold? You don't believe that crap do ya'? Someone said they secretly take the prisoners n' use them as Mercenaries, and in return, shorten their sentences! Ha! It's just made-up lies."
The list goes on. Though there is no proof regarding any of these claims.
Despite the controversy and mysterious rumors, there's one thing that's not debatable. Ironhold is without a doubt a highly efficient and well-organised establishment, and if you're unlucky enough to find yourself on the wrong side of the gates and in a jumpsuit - then you should quit daydreaming of escaping right now. Those kind of dreams will drive you insane, because you don't get out unless the Warden says you can get out. You're in his world now.

OOC:
Well howdy partners, and thanks for stopping by! If you've made it this far - I'd like to think you're at least mildly interested by this concept. We're OOCly using Westbrook Garrison as our home, but ICly we're in Ironhold. Totally unrelated to Westbrook.
So yes - an IC Prison which aims to provide some good Prison-based Roleplay and then some! The guild offers to accept both guardsmen & prisoner characters, as well as temporary prisoners sent to us by the Regiment for example.
If we're lucky enough to have you join, and you wish to RP a prisoner, then you can decide whether you wish to be a brand new inmate being brought into Ironhold for the first time, or, an inmate that has ICly been a prisoner for quite some time already.
The beauty of this concept is that as a prisoner, you'll very rarely find yourself being chained to a wall for extended periods of time. As an inmate you are normally free to roam about the sleeping quarters, mess hall and outdoor courtyard. So go! Be free(-ish)! Socialise and brawl with fellow inmates (or guards, if you're feeling brave).
There are certain areas of the prison where guard presence is slightly lax, giving inmates a couple of places to go and talk/plot/scheme away from guard ears! There will also be opportunities to smuggle in or find contraband items, such as: Shivs, wine, cigarettes, etc.
I've most likely missed some points, knowing me. Do feel free to post questions or comments, or otherwise contact me in-game on either Rend or Harold. If I'm not around, Alrein and Rostíslav are your next ports of call! Thanks for reading

Re: [A] Ironhold Prison
This is generally a great idea, best of luck to you all in making this. Hopefully it will get prisoner RP going to a better level than it is already. Instead of just lying in a cell for a few nights, we migght actually deal with issues of transportation, survival in a rought prison scenery, and perhaps even more frequent interrogation. Great idea here, something i will no doubt check out soon enought

It's something I've been wanting to do for the longest time, tbh. I'll need to do some preparations, though. I'll be in touch.Rend. wrote:Thanks for the positive feedback guys. It's a great source of motivation and encouragement!Dwyburn wrote:Would you need a prison psychiatrist?

Hai gais, Alrein. Just wanted to make sure that those reading this are aware that we would very much appreciate any new recruits to the guild, guards are recommended at this point in time although that could change very quickly. Just wanted to stop by and make sure you know it's not just our hard working Warden keeping this guild up and running!

Working on getting people into the guild for officer roles in the future. Can't run a guild without officers.

Outstanding effort, Cid! Have a shiney star sticker
Lower right is one I never expected anyone to get, and roughly translates into English as "Armory"

Re: [A] Ironhold Prison
Now that you mention it, it seems to be the really English version of it, that is: Armoury. Couldn't quite tell what letters were in it apart from the 'y' in the end though.
PS. My sister's handwriting is good practice reading for things like this.

Re: [A] Ironhold Prison
There has been an OOC transfer of GMship! Time isn't something that RL is overly providing me with right now, and thus can't retain the seat as OOC GM and give Ironhold the attention it deserves. I am, however, still the Warden ICly- and will be appearing as often as I can to deliver brutal justice to the poor unfortunate inmates. MUHUHUHAHAHA.
I leave you with this illustration of the Ironhold's top floor. Ciao for now!
