The Black Spot

Charlie woke up, the room was dark. His heart was beating fast. He looked around the room. “thank belore it was only a dream” he though. Something was wrong. The infirmatry was quiet but something felt awfully off.

Thank the sun he thought. Then he realized, his glove was not in his hand. He peered around the room, scared. His eyebrows were shaking. He were shaking, everything in his body was shaking. It couldn’t be. He saw down on his hand, there was something black there. He could feel it, as if something was stuck on his arm.

His heartbeats got faster and faster as he slowly opened his hand. The black spot, he looked around the room again now more afraid than ever. Jim was sleeping in a corner aswell, he didn’t seem to have taken notice of anything, then he noticed a starfish on the ground. Where did it come from? Had he just dreamt it all or was it real. The black spot on his arm pulsated as if it was live. “Fels sake” he thought, the glove was down on the floor. He leaned down to pick it up. It was soaked in seawater. As a matter of fact the whole floor was. He went back to try and sleep. “He called me Blazesong.”
