Journey of the Golden Wind
"Golden Wind" is an old Kul Tirasian warship that was damaged and captured by a goblin submarine near the close of the Second War. Since then, it has changed owners and captains and sailed under many flags. Now this vessel sails under the flag of the Grand Alliance once again. After having obtained a Letter of Marque, the ship attacks any vessel or coastal settlement that belongs to a force hostile to the Alliance.
Crew
Ship
Captain Hamal Shariq and his crew are on the payroll of 'Star, Hawk and Scymitar' trading company. Now the multiracial, varied crew and the ship they sail has been contracted by Rihani Deephaven and turned into a privateer vessel. Clearly someone high up in the company hierarchy has approved of this un-businesslike operation.
Raiding Party
Rend, Brad and Reth are the three top thugs of a Stormwind criminal organization simply known as 'the Company'. They have been contracted by Rihani Deephaven to serve as a raiding party and raid, pillage and plunder the seas and the shores of Kalimdor. In addition, the Company hired the small crew of a freelancer frigate "King's Bane" under the command of captain Richard Winters. King's Bane crew bolsters the raiding party and will help man and command any vessels "Golden Wind" may commandeer.
Other
Rihani Deephaven and her secretary Yavari maintain and pilot a gyrocopter, manage the supplies, the logistics and the organization of the whole expedition and are responsible for scouting and intelligence.
Journey so Far
"Golden Wind" departed from Stormwind Harbour and set southwards course in search of the little-known wreckage of the Stormwind explorer ship "Southern Ranger". Rumour in certain circles has it that "Southern Ranger" didn't vanish in a storm, but was sunk by malefic powers after finding a cursed island with idols of gold on its journey. After having located the wreck in the shallows off Stranglethorn, the Company men dived and retrieved the captain's locker. Once it was opened, "Golden Wind" was attacked by infernal Fel Magic and a group of demons, barely fighting them off.
Armed with the knowledge from the ship logs of "Southern Ranger" the adventurers plotted a course to the lost Troll island deep in the South Seas and set to loot the temple. It has turned out that the island was captured by an old Orc warlock who was stranded there since Gul'dan's expedition to the Tomb of Sargeras. Now, this Orc was worshiped as a god by the local trolls who put a fierce fight to defend their deity and their island. Through superior firepower of "Golden Wind" and the gyrocopter and the old-fashioned resilience and sheer gut the Company persevered and emptied the temple of its wicked treasures.
After this detour from the main objective "Golden Wind" finally set a westward course towards Kalimdor. It stopped in the Sea of Kezan to attack a series of oil rigs and an oil processing island. Usually well-defended by a Horde ship-of-the-line, the installation was now left to its own devices as the warship was recalled to defend Orgrimmar itself from attack. Still, the island was protected by an experimental shore-defense turret and ten strong 'Redhelm Securities' mercenary group. "Golden Wind" raiders waited until nightfall to row silently to the island, they have barely bypassed the mechanized and other defenses to give engineers an opening to disable the turret. Raiders were losing their battle against the highly-trained Redhelms when the turret finally went off-line and Golden Wind and its Gyrocopter could join the fight and swing it into the raiders' favour.
Later, Golden Wind met north of Isle of Thunder with HMS Adamant, Alliance transport on its return journey to Stormwind. Goblin prisoners from the oil rig were handed over and letters exchanged.
Major Loot so Far
Fabulous Hat: claimed by Lucy of the Company from the wreckage of "Southern Ranger", this cursed hat caused her some unpleasantries.
Dae'mon's Fiery Whip: retrieved by captain Richard Winters following the defeat of a winged demon as it tried to sink "Golden Wind" after Rihani learned of the location of the cursed Troll island.
Dae'mon's Bracelets: claimed by one of the Company members who went mad from all the power. They had to be removed by force.
Temple Treasures: sacrificial daggers, idols, priestly ornaments and other implements of a demon&loa syncretic worship on the uncharted island. The gold and silver may be poor quality, but the total loot is estimated at about 270 gold, artistic value notwithstanding
Golden Idol: strange golden head with four faces was retrieved from the island. Although its gold is of an inferior quality, and only covered the very surface of an actually bronze idol, it still ammounts to roughly four bars of gold
Oil Rig Crew: 27 goblins were handed over into alliance custody, reward pending
Oil Rig Blueprints: oil rig blueprints, including the novel drill design were handed over to the alliance, reward pending
Shore-defense Turret: experimental war-machine is held in the cargo hold, negotiations with the Alliance are underway for its purchase
Oil Rig Parts: lots of valuable parts were stripped form the rig and the refinery, to be sold to either the Alliance of Steamwheedle of Gadgetzan. Value unknown
OOC: Thank you to Forlorn Cartel and Kings Bane for an awesome event. If you have screenshots or stories to post, post them! I will add them to the original post. And we still have several days to go!

((consider all 'reward pendings' to be rewarded as they come in. Don't want to have to micromanage each of those. ))

((Will do! Will keep the Turret open for some negotiations since there is some room for RP and character building there))
