For the North [Ongoing event - Basic outline] Empty For the North [Ongoing event - Basic outline]

With the Scourge no longer as strong as it was, and other threats weakened, parts of Northrend are now more fit for living and settling in - such as the Howling Fjord and Grizzly Hills. However, it is just a matter of time before a new conflict breaks out between those laying claim to this harsh and forgotten land...

What is it?
For the North is an ongoing and largely scripted event based in Northrend lasting a couple of months, set around a conflict of ownership for the now more hospitable land. The two main forces, the native tribes (The Vaetirr) and the Alliance settlers (Settlers of Northrend), will clash as they both attempt to either protect or claim the land. The idea has been in the making for a while, and is still being planned properly, it will also eventually lead into another storyline like this.

Basic plot
The storyline will begin with the two forces attempting to talk peace, but ending only in the tribes declaring a war on the settlers due to a fight during the talk. As the tribe attempt to drive the settlers out of the North and capture the Alliance strongholds, the settlers will try and bring the tribe down. It will resolve with an uneasy pact, and the Tribe joining the Alliance.

Getting involved
It will be easier to get involved with the Settlers, however, you may join the tribe on an alt or whatever, (you could even create a random tribesman on TRP2/MRP for the purpose of the events) we will most likely need this to show the size of the tribe properly. If you wish to join either of these, contact Aggripa for the settlers, or Bjornar for the tribe.

Following storyline
The second, follow up storyline will be to do with the discovery that the Alliance is in possession of a previously thought lost artifact, belonging to the Vaetirr. The artifact, a stone, has a prophecy written on it of which some has been fulfilled , and will continue to be fulfilled. Hopefully, this should lead into the next expansion (assuming its the Burning Legion of course. If it isn't then whatever it is, we will just apply the stone to instead). More will come on this in time!

As said, this is only a basic outline, and things are still being worked out, but we will be beginning this on Friday, with the peace talk. If anyone has any suggestions or ideas that they would like to discuss, then contact me.

Just so you know, the Scourge is NOT mostly gone. It was originally crippled by a combined Alliance/Argent/Horde force but that force is for the most part gone because the Scourge no longer remains 'valid'.

But for the most part, the Scourge is extremely present and would probably still slaughter the living at large. Northrend remains one of the most dangerous places on Azeroth, for the teeming undead that fill it.

Bolvar isn't struggling to hold back nothing you know!

I edited it slightly to make more sense. I probably should have made it clearer that I meant specific areas in which the undead wouldn't be as much of a threat (such as the Grizzly Hills/Howling Fjord) and that they are weaker rather than gone, so those living the area would be able to cope with that.

As Thelos said, keeping the Scourge threat in your roleplay would only benefit you rather than take away from your roleplay. Best of luck with this, it's been some time that Northrend has been made use of by more than one guild.
