Fan art of Shadow magic.
Hey, I have no idea if this should be here but I couldn't post in the Library and art section
What I need is some art of Shadow magic, I cant find anything that is really good on google and there is almost no fan art out there. You can send a link but I would mostly like to see some art that you have made yourself, why I don't make my self? Because I em so bad at painting I cant even make a stick-man. I em so bad that I cant even paint a heart correctly!

Re: Fan art of Shadow magic.
Do you search spell effects, or people casting spells? Could you be a bit more detailed?
Regardless i made a small search. These any good?

^ By looking through everything in "Artwork" and "Fan Art", picking those with any shadow magic in them.
http://www.deviantart.com/
^ By searching by using word combinations of "Shadow, Magic, Priest, Warlock"
But mostly on the Wow's official sites this time. Deviantart got lots of good stuff to, but the jewels are harder to find as the selection to is larger.

Ok, I know what I really want now.
- I want the picture to be dark and you can hardly see her Martha's face.
- Her eyes are purple.
- She holds two hands in the air, they are glowing slightly because of the purple shadow coming from them.
- Her face is slightly light up by the purple glow coming from her hands.
Hope this is helpful.

Find a picture as close to that pose as possible yourself and request someone to photoshop the image. That is the only way you'd get that accurate picture without ordering a commission (as on, someone drawing a picture against payment of IRL money)

What you're looking for is a commission really from the sounds of it. And for anything of quality you'd probably need to pay (although I must say, not as much as you'd reckon, Wulfgnar on these forums is fabulous and very cheap).
DO NOT as Skarain suggested, photoshop someone else's work. It isn't your property, and unless you have the artist's permission to alter or edit it you're essentially vandalising artwork.

Quoted for truth. Editing other people's work is a blight upon creation.Kittrina wrote:DO NOT as Skarain suggested, photoshop someone else's work.

Just to clarify, it is not something i would personally do, as i am a detailfreak and would be unlikely to find a picture perfect enough even if edited, and find it easier to order paid artwork instead.
Although i am beginning to wonder, is +3 months wait time for a Commission normal in the business?

It entirely depends, the majority of commissions of characters etc are done as a supplement to income rather than a full-time job amongst the artists I know. I also work full-time doing graphic design; so when I take on a commission I make it clear it may take some time as I'm usually sacrificing a large amount of free time for a low amount of money.
Essentially, unless you're willing to pay equivalent of a decent living wage when broken down into £ per hour, you can't be sniffy about commissions taking a while.
Alternatively this explains it best (just substitute in 'illustration' for 'graphic design'...);

Try the MogIt add-on in game for finding gear, it's great for browsing and putting together your set, just find one piece you like and build from there

Also, ask for ideas for RP sets here. I've gotten good advice there more than once myself.
