I'd be a fun idea to make like a event out of it then really time skip, plus the future can change at any time, any small thing can change it and past is past, lot's of lost stories.

Once used CoT to RP out Bob's past while he was in a coma

Well I'm up for whatever.Worst case scenario Bob was never born.Best case scenario he dies or ends up with his life actually fixed.

On the matter of lost stories - from month to month my idea of what Allonia's future would be like, would have to change drastically depending on what happens. You can never tell!

The problem with that is there will be quite a few people who will froth at the mouth to exterminatus you from the globe for doing that.

RP can be fun (and tropetastic?!) (Dallas and Bobby Ewing meets WoW, Dr Sam Beckett quantum leaps into Ogrimmar?!) without causing some of the venomous bile that is often associated with anything "outside of the ordinary".

What about Wormhole malfunction? Sending you a-la Time Tunnel to some weird and/or time? Things exist in WOW which could definitely work into a Time Bubble or Time Slip or something.

I like your style. The strongest one from time travelling memory RP i've had is with Gahalla, Tiberio (Oldie who is unfrotunately long gone) and some others, that was a whole lot of fun. The ordinary is boring, let's do the extra odinary and actually get some fun out of it!

Many ideas to actualy do this for an event also, maybe this is something I can organize with a few people who'd be interested (and possibly know some lore so we don't have flamed at later)

Fun to think about, just like if traveled to the past, what if Rey never got together with Skarain? Would that have some domino effect and maybe Drustai never became evil!? WTF?

I was about to quote Paozi and suggest a caverns of time idea, bugger-shit-ballsack, you all got there first!

But like Griff says, time travel can be possible. The Bronze Dflight would most certainly stop you from altering anything significant but WoW aren't the best for writing Time Travel lore (unless Time travelling is your main theme in a game/tv/film, it probably won't work. It might not work even if it is!).

Curse you! the more it spins over end over again in my brain the more I think we should all hop into a yellow submarine,put wheels on it and make dragon sounds..Then go through a time portal .

It's a nice idea and could be very very fun. This has been sort-of done before.

There was that orc-draenei event on a Draenor in the past before it became Outland. I know it's the past but it's same principle. Memory's vague on it but organisers I -think- were Elloa(gone) and Orcs Of the Red Blade.

There was also some story idea here started by Julia/Saihna(I think?) where it would be set say 20 years in the future and everyone interested would contribute to where their characters would be then. The idea never took off though, and I think the thread has been lost with the forum cleanup in the groups section.

Somehow I can totaly picture Reyleigh and his friend (A powerfull mage) winding up in the "present" from the future where the mage friend messed up his portal spell.

An event that is based around this would be better than just a jump forwards (considering WoW lore goes by RL time, it'd screw up the timeline terribly if you had the whole community at a different time than the actual game lore).

But yeah, much better I think to have a singular event incorporating these ideas. Either a flashback or a jump forwards. Nothing permanent, but a chance to explore who the characters are in the past/future.
