[H] An Unpleasant Awakening
This occurance takes place early in the morning around 6am on monday the 21st in Ashenvale.
The fresh morning dew covered the plants of the forest and the fog hung low in the humid terrain, and the only sounds around came from little birds flying around singing and the crude bones hanging from ropes in the ceiling, gently clacking against eachother as the breeze swept through the Marauders' sleeping bracket. A calm morning for once, one would think.
A group of small crouching figures covered up in robes that were dragged along the floor limped over to the beds of some of the Marauders and suddenly a warhorn was blown in the middle of the room. "You're under attack, get up and fight Hammers! Slay these mongrels! Lok'narash!" was shouted out by the newly appointed captain. Auxilaries, recruits and Oathsworn alike got up to fight, although some were slower to react than others and got themselves a bruise or two. It would soon appear that the supposed assaulters were nothing more than mindless ghouls and were easily slain. "Good, now you're awake. Get outside, rest is over."
The Hammers were lined up outside infront of the building and Gor'Thrak inspected them all, making sure they were all properly awake and not slacking off. "It's time to get you all into shape" he spoke before having a few peons place down crates filled with heavy plate armour infront of them. Once all had finished dressing up they headed out. "I expect you all to keep moving at a good jogging speed at all times and be aware of your surroundings, those who slack off will get to clean up the sleeping bracket and burn all the ghouls.
For a couple of hours they ran around, the smell of sweat reeking, the sounds of metal clacking together and feet simultaneously hitting the ground always high. Many steep hills were to be climbed and some had dummies up along the entire way. When those were encountered the Marauders were sent up one by one in a straight line with a couple of meters between each of them, all were expected to strike each and every single one of the dummies properly while never stopping up and always keeping up a decent speed.
About three or four hours after they had started the Marauders of the Hammer regiment arrived back at the base, most tired and some whining. A few good examples snorted and kept marching on. The ones who had performed the worst were sent to clean up the mess after the ghouls before they got any rest and the others were dismissed.
OOC:
Are you tired of fighting under banners with weak leadership, lazy soldiers and mediocre battles? Join the Marauders, get into shape and fight for the glory of the Horde! Earn wealth for your family and those close to you, gain glory and honour so that your future grandsons and daughters will have something to be proud of! Lok'tar ogar!

Re: [H] An Unpleasant Awakening
Scuzy stirred in her bed as a subtle feeling of woe crept up on her. Right when she opened her eyes, sure that something was wrong, the death knight's warhorn thundered through the quiet sleeping quarters. "You're under attack, get up and fight Hammers! Slay these mongrels! Lok'narash!"
She was out of bed in an instant, her conjured sword of sacred fire in her hand and the soft glow of the Light surrounding her, wearing only her loose-fitting night gown. When her flaming sword hit the first figure and set it ablaze, the fight was already over. The hammer had responded quickly. She exchanged a single look with the undead orc, Gor'thrak, captain of the Hammer, and quickly the glow around her and the sword of fire vanished into nothing; The threat had passed.
Scuzy hastily followed the hammer outside and invoked the Light to offer some mild reprieve for the most heavily wounded, kindly requesting the menders under her command to do the same.
And so the Hammer marched, when the sun had yet to fully show itself. Scuzy sighed tiredly, rubbing her forehead. She turned to the grove recruit next to her.
"Gather wood for a pyre. Those foul creatures must be burned. When you are done, report to me. It's going to be a long day."

Couldn't help but write a little response.

Responses are very welcome! I did encourage it in the original thread on our own forum, after all.
