[H / Blood Elf] 8th meeting of the 3rd Silvermoon Council. 30 October 2012 at 21:00 GMT

Sin'dorei,
In six days the 8th meeting of the Silvermoon Council will be held. The location and time stay the same, nine bells in the evening in the Blood Knight Temple, untill further notice.
On the agenda are:
- The Shatterskull incident and any relevant updates.
- "Criminal foreigners and criminals in foreign organisations, what to do?"
- Vote of no-confidence against Judge Silversun. (Note, so far the accuser has not sought any contact regarding this)
Previously discussed:
- The Shatterskull incident, recent message from the Shatterskull Marauders attached below, requesting clarification about the attempt to re-arrest the attacker.
- The previous trial, this somehow lead to a vote of no confidence. Make note that discussing trials in this way, during a council meeting, will not be allowed in the future.
- In the last ten minutes the "Criminal foreigners and criminals in foreign organisations, what to do?" topic was brought up, the original intent for this meeting. Nobody wants another incident like at the last trial.

I am Thrakha Ironsong, Chieftain of the Shatterskull Marauders. I write to you to discuss the recent strife between your city authorities and my Warband.
Some days ago, one Datharia Starcleave was slain within your city by a member of my Warband, named 'Sunburn', lately of the Blood Knights.
She acted outside my orders and outside your law. However, the right and wrong of this matter are, to my eyes, less simple than that.
The matter was certainly troubling to my Marauders, who arrived in great number to express their displeasure. They are a simple and uncomplicated folk, for the most part, many of whom had seen Starcleave openly assist in the murder of a Marauder's only son. They have little patience for trials and the twisting of words. To hear his avenger called 'murderer' offended them greatly.
Upon my arrival, I calmed my Marauders and spoke with the Blood Knights guarding Sunburn's cell in order to settle the matter in a manner more in accord with your laws. With those Knights' agreement, I brought Sunburn back into my own custody. I did this because she is my vassal and thus it was my right under law to offer bond for her to stand trial.
Though I offered gold, no such bond was required of me by those Knights, other than my word that she would be made to return for trial, the place and the day to be mutually agreed. That place would be a Horde City, and the judges would be of more races than elves alone.
Thus, under law and with the assent of the Blood Knights, did Sunburn leave Silvermoon's custody and enter my own.
Some days later, a serving Blood Knight named Starri Evensong came to our forward barracks in the village of Sri-La within the Jade Forests of Pandaria. She asked to speak with Sunburn privately, and this was agreed. Evensong then attempted to arrest and abduct Sunburn.
Though Evensong was not wearing her colours at the time, she attempted a formal arrest and maintained that she was acting under orders from Silvermoon.
Evensong has since been returned safely to Quel'thalas.
Should I have been surprised by this breach of faith? We had an accord, terms of bail had been set, and I had been led to believe that the Blood Knights were capable of keeping their word.
I must tell you that because of this grave breach of terms, I can no longer present Sunburn for trial, nor can I permit her to be punished other than as I see fit. The Blood Knights' word on this matter was broken, and I am greatly displeased.
However, I understand that offence has also been given by my vassal's actions in attacking and slaying Datharia Starcleave, in defiance of the court's verdict.
To my mind, the scales are therefore now even. Grave offence has been given on both sides, for reasons that doubtlessly were justified in the minds of those who gave it. Thus I consider this matter to be at an end.
Should you wish to discuss this matter further, send an emissary. The bearer of this letter will suffice.
