TRP2 bug - whispers disappear

Wondering why someone doesn't respond to your whispers? Not heard from your friend in a while even though they clearly are online? If you are using TRP2, that could be the problem.

After the patch hit, TRP2 seems to have been eating all RealID whispers, as well as normal whispers, if you had the chat functions enabled. If you disable them, whispers get through just fine again.

To disable chat settings from TRP2, go to settings and from there to interface (the red button at the bottom) and scroll down the list. Put a tick on "Disable chat functions" and just to be sure, do the same with language and emote functions below it.

So that's it? I've not (I think..) had the issues you mention.

But I've noticed that /r doesn't work at all anymore, and yesterday it worked by you couldn't scroll through names.

Erahn, try to go to "Esc"-->"key bindings"-->"Chat function"--->"something about whispering back"-->"R"

Even after doing that I've had to reply manually the first time I reply to whispers, then the keybind seemed to work.

TRP has not yet been updated.

TRP2 is not going to be updated either, the guy has quit.

I've tried the solution, but unfortunately it has not worked. May have to try disabling it all together when i'm not RPing. Damnit.

Did you relog after you disabled them? Because it doesn't work unless you do that.
You also need to do it for each and every character you have, as the settings are not account wide.

Disable Tongues as well.

I switched back to MyRolePlay for now.

Tongues has been updated to 5.0.4 but I found it buggy, it still registers Troll language as [Troll] instead of the [Zandali] it is tagged as now in-game, and that messes with some stuff.

Alright, i've sorted it. It was Tongues which was bugging me out, as Simmy told me. Bless her wolfy soul! <3
