Laban is this AMAZING middle eastern drink that's basically watery yoghurt it's so yummy and delicious especially with a good date

(also tahini+dates go well together but personally don't like it too much, but most arabs go for the tahini/date combo instead of the laban/date combo)

Leben is what those dirty Palestinians call it .... and what? Yoghurt is solid, laban is liquid, although laban is basically just yoghurt+water+salt but the store brought kind is always a million times better than when I make it at home. There's also labnah (a bit like sourcream) which is delicious too, which you make by hanging up some yoghurt in a muslin cloth type bag to let all the water drain out leaving behind the soury white goodness yumyum

This sounds completely and utterly barbaric. COMPLETELY AND UTTERLY BARBARIC. Again it is the white man's burden to educate the world as to what is proper cuisine, let me illustrate some delicate dishes which are not barbaric. I'm sure you, our resident barbarian towelhead, will be amazed.
