Im not sure if i find any fans of Call of Duty in here but i think this part is gonna be one of the worse, i mean the future? I admit Battlefield 2142 was really good but the future doesnt really look good on CoD... what are your opinions?

Seems like not much like Call of Duty

I don't much care for Call of Duty multiplayer, and I can get my CoD singleplayer fix by watching some guy playing it on youtube without missing out on anything (only annoyance with that is finding someone who doesn't feel the need to talk all the time, and who doesn't absolutely suck at playing)

For my taste has turned to much into an arcade shooter. Played online FPS's for years online and this has just turned into people being *($%*S so not gone near this for a long time. But thats me being a old grump

Half Life 1 deathmatch is the most random shit in the world xDD

i think Black Ops II will be great. The first one was brilliant and it is about time they did a bit of the future IMO.

After the original MW, the CoD series went down hill. Doubt this one will bring it back.

I never really understood the whole "popular hate rage" in regards to the franchise. Plenty of franchises release something new on an almost yearly basis. Having said that, I only played it for the SP experience since it's primarily the online community that rattled my cage in the past (stopped bothering with that since WaW). The SP is just a rollercoaster of explosions, horrendously cheesy attempts at coolness and guns. Pretty much like your average action movie flick - which is just fine by me, depending on my mood.

Now that it's set in the future, it might be all the more interesting for me. After all, that officially marks it as science fiction, which I'm big on anyway.

Sigh, not another one. This is just Activisions way to steal the money out of clueless kids who buys a game that they have barley spent a year of effort to make. This wont end well at all.

All "future" means is that there will be some guns that are only prototypes at the moment and maybe some flashy hud elements. Y'know, Ghost Recon style "future" but in the crappy CoD style

... You do realise that Activison is a merged company with Blizzard.. a company which makes people pay £9 a month and develops content that is very similar yearly..

Blizzard have never, ever worked with FPS. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 was released in November last year. They will have spent less then a year on this game, assuming they just revealed it.

Saw a video on this from Acesgamer, it looks EXACTLY THE SAME as MW3.

I suppose those big, walking tanks in the trailer are easy to overlook. They show up a few times after all. Doubtful that's something we'll see on the streets within twenty years, at least.

As for the development time, anyone knowing half a bit about CoD knows that Infinity and Treyarch are two different developers that release their CoDs one by one, meaning they have two years to develop each game. A pretty normal development time for something like an FPS. And no, I'm not a CoD-fanboy.

To paraphrase my line of thought when I saw the first BO2 trailer;

Black Ops II? Blegh, Black Ops was okay but- HOLY SHIT ARE THOSE WALKERS?! IT'S SET IN THE FUTURE!?!?! AS IN THE SPACE FUTURE!?!?!? FUCK YESSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!

I love sci-fi shooters. 20 minutes into the future (aka MW2 and 3, Battlefield 3 etc) is kinda boring - this is a little more futuristic and suits my tastes better. Given that Modern Warfare 3 was pretty bad compared to the other MWs, I'm hoping that BO2 is suitably better than the original BlOps.

CoD doesn't seem the franchise I want to get my future fix from, tbh.
