Not always true ... I know my brothers and my dad are basically like estranged now and have been for like a long while now ... he won't even let them into the house when they visit on holiday :p

I do notice the same ever so slightly. I also notice that the relationship between me and my little brother is starting to become more... 'distant'. That concerns me greatly. But aye, relationship with my parents does seem to improve.

And Lily I kind of get it, I've had something comparable happen to me (and continuing for a while) when I outlined my dreams and ambitions for the future once. I got criticized to hell and back, just be completely and utterly stubborn. Outline logically why it's important for you, what you think you'll be able to achieve, how you consider it an improvement over your alternatives, and also note why your parent(s) point does not hold up for you. Oh, and mention that you consider it your greatest chance to be happy and do not give in. I did this and nowadays they don't even dare disagree with the plans I've formulated.

also more on topic now ... this is gonna sound totally sexist but whatever who cares, there's a few girls I know who are just so freaking unbearable when they're on their periods. it's just like GAAAAAAAH SHUT UP ALREADY and actually girls in general are just unbearable which is ironic since most of my friends are girls ... I think. Or maybe it's just when you become close friends with a girl when it gets unberable.

either way, I seriously feel sorry for any straight man or lesbian who has to deal with this shit whenever they get married.
