I'm assuming he has a shitty graphics chip rather than a card, and if so I don't think there's anything you can do.

I finally got onto the next difficulty. I had to get a friend to help me kill Diablo since I couldn't actually see where the damage I was taking was coming from, and I was being snared by invisible snares. x)

He felt bad for me when he saw I got an achievement for punching the last boss and asked what the fuck I was doing punching him when I was a wizard. I told him I was venting my anger at my shitty laptop and he came over to my game and helped me out. xD

How are barbs going for you in Hell, Vaell? Looking at the forums, it's naught but whining about poor Barbs being so useless.
I think people don't understand the word Hell.

I find it very difficult to believe Barb's are useless on any difficulty. I went through Nightmare with one and he was crazy good. Besides, I walked into Hell on my monk, on my own, and it did not end well.

I think people, as you said, just don't get quite get the word "Hell".

Well the whine starts about people reaching Hell. The complaint is that both monks and Barbs are melee fighters, but unable to really whitstand the melee damage being dealt at that difficulty level. Ranged classes can rely on kiting and tricks to avoid the "presumed impossible to whitstand damage" like that.

Some go as far as stating that the only way to play the barb/monk at that level is using what limited range abilities and CC one has at their disposal. I believe this indicates a great gear dependency, which isn't all that surprising for melee classes, but perhaps the gear doesn't scale sufficiently.

Hard to guess from a distance though.. I'm still at normal and won't have time to finish even that until next week Sad

Well, I'm currently nearing the end of Act 1 with 45k health, 6 tanking skills and rarely die. I can hold a fair amount of aggro, keep my team from taking damage for half the fighting and survive some heavy damage. In a group of 4, it works brilliantly. I also saw an intense damage dealing Barb laying into things like they were made of paper.

Go tank when you get to hell, do it until you reach 60 - farm both sets of gear and win Very Happy

(If you need help with tanking abilities, I'll give you my build idea)

Our barb decided to go tank on Inferno. He was our top DPS up and including hell, but whenever he tried to do damage in inferno, he'd die almost instantly. With me as a monk and him tanking together, inferno got a lot easier as we just let our DH and wizard do all the DPS Razz

I'm still enjoying my wizard, regardless of the fact that I only have 2k hp and enemies tear me a new one every time I get too cocky with running into mobs and aoe'ing the shit out of them.

I should probably sub my 500+% extra damage for some vitality, but... I LIKE EXPLOSIONS. Only level 31 right now. ;_;

Tbh, the damage becomes worth it! Had a wizard doing some insane damage whilst I tanked earlier, so much fun.

60k health and counting..! (I do miss damage though Sad )

SO MUCH SHINY. Very Happy I'm finding Nightmare difficult since I can't avoid attacks or anything. xD Hell, I take the damage from melee attacks while the enemy is still moving towards me.

Might have to play it with my friend.

The most annoying enemy I've met by far. :p Those damn hands have over half my hp off in one go, so it's a panic-fest when I see three shambling towards me.

So, apparently D3 sold 3.5 million copies in the first 24h. Add to that the 1.2 million annual pass players and you have the fastest selling PC game ever. No wonder we were getting a lot of E37.

Beat everything up to and including Maghda on inferno, but the elite packs in the sewers seem like the biggest cockblock yet :/

Sitting at the very end of Hell, being bitchslapped rather heavily by Tyrael's old lieutenant.

That charge swipe move he has is OP man.

In act 2 of hell with my amazing 20k HP and duel wielding barbarian. Roflstomping all elite packs with leap (Iron impact) > Ignore pain(Ignorance is bliss)>Earthquake(The Mountain's call)> Super saiyan mo- Wrath of the berserker(Insanity) with Frenzy(Triumph) on left click and Revenge(Provocation) on right click.

Special mobs just go splat. HP is overrated.

I finally got around to finishing the game the first time around, killing Big D on Normal as a Monk.

It's kind of sad that the only boss I died against solo was Maghda in Act II (or well, her adds killed me) and Diablo was actually easier to solo. Monk is kind of OP at this point, I'm hoping Nightmare will be more challenging when Drustai finally gets her ass in gear so we can coop it <.<

Edit: And unrelated, Claudia Black as the voice of Cydaea damn well nearly made me jizz in my pants. Hot.

Sanara, Normal is there for the story. Nightmare for the minor challenge / preperation for what types of mobs there are to come. Hell for pretty tough. Inferno for absolutely insane how many times you die mode.

Barb tanks need to build resistances btw, so save that gear anyone looking to build a barb.

Shame that you can't pick a harder setting straight off the bat then, it sort of detracts from the game as a whole when you're forced to take the "easy" route through the story the first time around, which is partly why it took me so long to actually bother getting through it. (The other main reason is alt-itis <.<)

Edit: I still think Monk seems pretty OP, because when playing the other classes it's far more challenging to cut/magic/shoot my way through Hell's hordes than it was for my perpetually self-healing Monk to punch her way through entire armies single-handed (I brought the Enchantress with me to Act III and IV, barely needed her help but she was the most enjoyable companion).
