Re: Diablo III
Barbarian and Monk have the highest survivability, I'd imagine.
Btw a tip to anyone wanting to rush or power a couple of levels:
Act IV - First quest - rinse & repeat, you get the quest xp and you should be able to do it quickly. Bring a lowbie along and let him stand outside and he'll keep getting levels.

Also, guys, have I just been encountering some bad players or is the chance to survive as demon hunter much larger than as other classes?
I spend a great deal of time on my Wizard screaming hysterically as a monster takes over half my hp in one hit, so... Yes, I'd imagine some are made to survive while others bring damage to the table while being squishy as fuck.

Re: Diablo III
Fuck my laptop. -.- I have the stupidest lag in the world. It's not even latency lag, it's my stupid ass laptop can't keep up with itself. I needed help from a friend for the 2nd last boss, and the last boss took me half an hour, only to die at the end. Because dodging projectiles is impossible for me. >.> Sure, I dodged them on screen.
BUT THEY HIT ME A FEW SECONDS BEFORE THE ANIMATION APPEARED.
It's such a good game so it's so frustrating not to be able to do things that I should be able to. And my friend refuses to help me because the last boss is 'special' and should be done alone. >.> Never mind the fact that I've been getting slowly more miserable because of it.

Diablo is dead! The world is saved. Everybody is happy (well, all who count)
- Spoiler:
I find it a 'minor' disappointment that you don't get a conclusion of Templar's story, would have made an awesome 'side-quest'. Also, there is not a word on Leah's fate. I know she is dead, but ...WHAT OF HER SOUL!? Is it destroyed, or does it dwell in some nice place together with Deckard?

Remember, 2 expansions still to come! All of the companions stories will be concluded during these most likely, not to mention you'll probably get more classes and companions... also,Melnerag wrote:Diablo is dead! The world is saved. Everybody is happy (well, all who count)

2 x'packs. Oh god. Blizzard loves x'packs. But oh well!
- Spoiler:
- How can Tyrael be a member of Agiris, Archangel, Council if he is not an archangel anymore? From what I saw the power of the Archangels has direct influence on the world as seen with Auriel. So, with Tyrael's ascent....wisdom abandoned the world?

Re: Diablo III
I'd certainly love me some expansions for Diablo 3. This time I will most likely even have some characters levelled up for it, unlike back with Lord of Destruction.
...and damnit, first time I'm unable to log-in into the game. Otherwise it seems that I've been very lucky with it, only two brief disconnects since launch day, I think.
Also, Blizzard gave a new chance to change your BattleTag. Already used my first free change to make mine a bit more fitting into D3, now I'm thinking whatever to do it again...

Re: Diablo III
If hack 'n slash clickin is your type of game, it's very awesome. Especially in co-op, as mentioned above.
It isn't especially innovative with any of it's aspects, but it's so smooth, fun and easy to play that at least I'm having a lot of fun in it. Playing wizard is like a whole lot of fireworks blowing off on the screen!
Also, my PC can't run it silk smooth either, but I was happy to notice that instead of crazy warping, screen freezes and such, it "only" slows down the action, so I still have a good chance to save my skin from angry goats, demons and demongoats...but I'd of course love to have a new PC for this. Maybe some day...

Haven't been trying out too many of them lately, to be honest. The last such I remember playing through must have been the video game of Return of the King. That one I enjoyed though.

Is delicious Diablo down with battle.net, or is it just the servers being overloaded again?

Re: Diablo III
"Breaking News, everyone! Mainteance time!" it seems. Hopefully something that gets fixed in a few hours. I noticed that my achivements were gone, hoping that's just because the game's unable to fetch data from the servers. The other scenario would be pretty bollocks...no hard achievements earned yet, really, but still.
While I've been lucky with my Diablo experience (extremely lucky when considering my connection as well, which tends to screw up every other week, but has amazingly stayed steady during Diablo marathon...), I still do think that it's a tad sucky to not have any kind of chance to play the game offline, even a limited version of it.
But I trust that they'll manage to get the game running close to perfectly by the end of the next week, at least. Hopefully.

Re: Diablo III
If lowering the settings to the minimum doesn't work then he'll need a new machine. That is pretty much it.
Blizzard tend to make their games so it's accessible to as many people as possible, therefore the settings are easily moved so they'll run on shite machines.
If he can't get it working on the lowest, the laptop is wank.
