Re: Diablo III
I can't wait. I've been looking forward to it for a while, though I've never played either of the other Diablo games. I did love the game Torchlight. I just love the lore and story that I've read for the Diablo franchise, I love me some dark fantasy.

Re: Diablo III
I was very excited about this game like.. 1,5 years ago. Now it just doesn't have same effect even though i can see the release date in front of my eyes. Plus i'm very sceptical.
My best friends and me already made a list what to roll and how to build our groups, and once we again can play together i hope it'll be as fun as it was with D2.
About RP: With my friends we always find a way to RP in almost every game we could play together. No matter if it was D1, D2, WC3 multiplayer. Sure it was in an amatour way (as those were my first attempts) but it gave an extra spice.

I'm sad that they didn't include necromancer.

Re: Diablo III
I dunno, I think Witch Doctor is the equivalent to a Necro in this one. Minion control and what not.
I grew up on Diablo so I've been waiting for this for too long. WoW Lore is great, but it doesn't fill that gothic-dark fantasy genre. Even the Lich King wasn't that dark in Warcraft but Diablo fills that gap. Can't wait.
Wizard ftw then maybe I'll go Barb or Monk

Re: Diablo III
It is the equivalent, which means we most likely won't get a necromancer class even in expansions because they already used all the ideas in silly witch doctor.

Gonna play it together with the boyfriend when it comes out! Meanwhile he introduced me to Diablo II. xD Lot's of fun with him talking in a Deckard Cain voice and me hyping over Tyrael because he is all sorts of awesome.
Thinking of playing a wizard myself.

Got a beta invite, had a go at it and well...
Its nice and polished but its hardly anything ground breaking IMO. And this coming from someone who has never played Diablo or Diablo 2. I suppose may main "real" problem with it is the controls, just infuriating.

It's blizzard. Ofcourse it's not groundbreaking. They make solid games, not innovative ones xD

I downloaded the client earlier. Then thought to myself... But it's out soon anyway, what's the point?
Think I'll wait.

I'll most likely get it in six months, if I manage to get a job.
Right now I'd rather get the Witcher 2. >: But need a job for that as well.

Been going through D2 again in anticipation. Necromancers are still awesome, so, I imagine I'll be a witch doctor.
Almost managed to play briefly when Blizz had their patch applying hiccup. But 'least i'll get to give it a shot over the weekend.

Played a bit tonight in my drunken stupour. What the fuck is up with the graphics? Not even close to holding a 2012 standard when you're outdoors in the game from what I saw in the beta, downright disgraceful. I guess it was fun shooting some monsters up tho

They do their job fine, some of the shading and areas look really good.
Either way, I've just spent a good hour and a half cracking out the Monk Class, nostalgia hit me with Tristram music and journal entries about Diablo 1. It is everything I had hoped for :')

WoW was released in 2004. D3 is to be released in 2012. HUGE difference.
D3 looks like Torchlight, despite Torchlight being released in 2009 and having niche graphics. :/

Re: Diablo III
WoW has had several expansions since then. They could have changed the graphics to make them much nicer, the reason they don't is to allow many more players online. Playing on full graphics on D3 looks quite nice. Much better than TorchlightOskar wrote:Vaell wrote:You .. play.. WoW.. and .. question.. graphics.. of.. Blizzard..
