Yet another RP Character Development and Guild Attempt...

My main worry is that, if I don't plan something out, something will go wrong... I focus too much on small details, but it's been so long since I've last RPed, I have no idea where I'd begin again.

There is no such thing as RPing going wrong...It goes, how it damn well goes.

If you get flung into jail, it's not wrong that is just how it worked out.
If you get praised for saving Ironforge from the Orc's, it isn't wrong it's just how it worked out.

You need to friggin' play the game. Get to it. You think too much and you're remaining stagnant. Less blahblah and more pewpew.

Okay, I'll search for a guild to join.

Obviously you need a background but nothing more no need for a frigging thought diamond or crap, don't get hung up on really tiny details and let the majority of your character develop ingame literally as you RP it. That is the best advice I can give you; as for a guild I highly suggest Tinker Federation or something, Yodar seems to be as enthralled by attempting to kill horde as you are. :3

I am, myself, tempted by GAIRDAS's offer of a Demonology/Magikology/Netherology Course at the moment. Mostly Demonology.

Then, my gnomish comrade, I suggest that you do the suitable recruitment process and get yourself in there. Stop thinking about RPing and RP.

When I started here I hadn't Rp'd in years and not once Rp'd in WoW. So I started with a small background idea of being setup in an SI:7 conspiracy, left for dead and went from there, Rping his situation and got involved.

And yes the Institute looks to be a great start to get back into Rp and would rather suit the character (from what I gather) you actually want to play.
