Matelda Crow, She who haunts.
Duskwood is a place of darkness, cruelty and most of all sadness. Lives have been lost in but a few paniced moments or bled dry from misery, betrayal and deceit. These souls in particular never truely pass on a great pain can nail down a being to life, fleeting between the line of reality and that of the great nether.
Many, many years ago, when settlers first rested in Duskwood amongst it's woodland they carved out various small villages for people to find haven in, mostly from the wilds and the beasts that lingered there. But some savage impulses cannot be surpressed with clothes and a few simple houses. A young couple met under a starry night both of their minds sickened and polluted with deranged thoughts of bloodshed, throat-cutting and heresys to The Light. These cravings soon consumed both of them and they were coined The Damned Damsel and Duke of Duskwood. For months they traveled under cloak and dagger between the villages, takeing man, woman and child to their graves with not a pinch of mercy, they earned their place in Darkshire's history books and were never captured.
It is believed Edervic; The boy of the partnership fell inlove with a foriegner, an elf to be precise. Dropping his lover for a new one, even finding redemption in the arms of a Quel'dorei Priestess. Matelda however was not so easily purified. the crossed lover was seen fleeing into the woods her tortured heckles causing flocks of crows to take flight.
To this day, Both are pressumed dead. But whispers have been heard, maybe just stories. But stories with detail, visions and incidents with victims. I tell you this traveler whilst you sleep here in Darkshire. Beware a young girl of doll white skin, choclate eyes, dusty hair and a dress blood red. She will lead the couragous and easily fooled to only suffering.
