The most fantastic thing just happened.

ABoC visited Darkshire tonight, and we were RPing there.
The moment they popped up, we were like: "Run, run, flee, run for your life!"
We were such cowards, but I've laughed my head off. It was hilarious.

By the way, Cell has paraphilia. He constantly wants to jam banners and other pointy objects in to my toon.

Got my new bed last night! I need to get new legs for it though.

Going to view a new home tommorow, 2nd on the list for it I hope to god I get it, big front and back garden and my daughter can finally get her own room :-) oh and it's half the price of my one bed flat! Gotta get some luck sometime soon and I got a good feeling it's coming!

Oh god I hate house shopping ... when we were moving house I had to go through all the listings and visit every single apartment myself. IT was hell x_x

Might just be the location it's sat in.
A central one room flat can be far more expensive than a bigger place in a less central location. Etc

But this is still gonna be in the happy thread , but before I say why … I went through like the five stages of grief in 2 seconds earlier on the phone with my friend. It was like the perfect final “release”!!!

Denial:
Oh god NO! This can’t be!!! No, it’s not true!!! They must’ve gotten my application mixed up with somebody else’s!! I’m gonna ring them up now GOD NO THIS CAN’T BE HAPPENING!

Anger:
Actually you know what, SCREW THEM!!! It’s their loss!! They’re a HORRIBLE university anyways with HORRIBLE facilities in a HORRIBLE town with HORRIBLE people!!! SCUMdee indeed!

Bargaining:
But maybe I still have a chance … what if I emailed them and begged them? Maybe they’d let me in … or I could threaten them with a terrorist suicide bomb note …

Depression:
No, it won’t work … I’m doomed to fail!!! I won’t ever get into medicine!! Why is this happening to me?! Oh woe is me, woe is me …

Acceptance:
Eeeh fuck it, who gives a shit.

But in all seriousness, I actually am happy. Of course I’m bummed out I got rejected, but whatever who cares! I’m still waiting to hear back from 3 other universities, and I actually feel so priveledged ot have even gotten a single interview, let alone 4! 3 other people applied to medicine at my school, and all of them got rejections without interviews. And these guys are like geniuses. One of them is the head girl with like 12 A*’s at IGCSE (which is the equivalent of like 20 GCSE A*’s) and is predicted A*A*A*A* at A level or something, she’s in the band, sports captain of 10 different teams, blahblahblah and still didn’t get a single interview.

And the whole experience was amazing as well. Even the application process itself was a rewarding experience, but mostly it was the interview process that was really like beneficial. I actually learnt so much on my trip. It was such a great experience and I’m just so happy right now ... maybe I’m still in the denial stage and thinking that the email I got was a fake. :p

Scumdee (that is how we are going to refer to that god awful cesspool from now. It's a new forum rule OBIDE BY IT) is heaven compared ot kuwait. But you're right ... it is a horrible city and considering it's like 4th in the UK for medicine, their medical school was shit. Heck kuwait's medical school seems a lot better in terms of facilities

Scumdee sucks balls. My ex came from there, and I was often exposed to its sheer shittness and boredom.

Also, sharks live there. Don't let them tell you otherwise, I swear there's sharks under that big bridge over the water. Across the road from the main train station.

The area is actually a nicer one, I'm just privately renting (paying someone else's mortgage and beer money) at the moment and we are getting housed by the council, hence it being cheaper. We can now finally save to buy so one day someone else can pay my mortgage and beers :-)

Could be worse though. It could be Glasgow. Though i'm not sure which one has the most junkies...

I spent over an hour there once, it was really hot and I got sunburn sitting on a bench arguing that there was sharks in the water! I bet there is. You can't trust Dundonians.

One of my best mates is a Geordie Chelsea fan, strange mix.

I got 4 conditional offers for uni's
Of course still top priority is going to the Netherlands for me, but at least if I get 2 B's in maths and English, (and C's in advanced Graph Comm and art for Abertay) I have backups at Abertay, Napier Edinburgh, Northumbria and Glasgow

Why Netherlands?
